A charming little Maori village with hot steam rising all around and a sobering walk around the RSA Cemetery gives insight into the number of local boys lost in wars. One of the rare places where the graves are all above ground. The church isn't alway open but if it is, the stained glass of Jesus walking across the water of Lake Rotorua is memorable.

l love this marae and historical Māori pa. Wharenui (buildings) church Right by Lake Rotorua, a easy walk around and from there to either town or Kuirau geothermal park. Beautiful carvings at the marae. Historic church This is a living Māori village so please be respectful of our tangata whenua (people of our land)
