Vilnius St. Bishop Stanislaus and St. Vladislav's Archcathedral Basilica (or simply Vilnius Cathedral) stands in the Old Town of Vilnius, in the territory of castles, on the site of a former pagan festival, next to the defensive castles of the city, which survived the most beautiful and dramatic events in the history of Vilnius and Lithuania. This shrine is a symbol of Lithuanian baptism. Today's building is in the classicist style (architect Laurynas Stuoka-Gucevičius), but its walls contain traces of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. Archdiocese and Deanery Center. The church has St. Casimir's Chapel. Next to the cathedral stands the bell tower (57 m high).

Survived both world wars, was occupied by Russian empire, Polish army, Nazi Germany, Soviet Union which makes it full of architectural wonders from many timeliness ready for You to visit.
