Probably my favorite in Playa del Carmen. The restaurant is beautiful, open kitchen and spaces and the attention is as spectacular as the dishes. The cooking is artisanal, with a "pib" (underground oven), fresh flavors from Yucatan and sustainably obtained. The chef Pedro Abascal has a lot of experience with local ingredients and pairings, as well as a surprising mixology and wine menu. Every time I've dined there, I love everything we order. Definitely a must.

Inspiration for Primo comes from the love for food, ancient spirits, local crafts and rustic cooking. Trying to recreate in a small outdoor space under a beautiful tree, the essence from original Playa del Carmen and bring an authentic Mexican food where everything is cooked with wood fire and in underground oven.
