The Oceanographic Museum was inaugurated in 1910. Jacques-Yves Cousteau served as its director for more than 20 years. The museum houses collections of diverse sea creatures—starfish, seahorses, turtles, jellyfish, crabs, lobsters, rays, sharks, sea urchins, cuttlefish, etc.) Other exhibits include sea-related objects, like model ships, sea animal skeletons, weapons, and collection of ritual objects made from pearls and molluscs. The shark lagoon – at 6 meters high, holding 450,000 liters of seawater, with 30 cm thick glass, and containing a coral reef is the museum’s main attraction. And that's not all. Don't miss all kids' favorite, stroking a live shark! When visiting the museum, don’t skip a tour of Monaco and Monte Carlo. They are well worth a day trip. Driving distance from Cabris: 1 hour
