Historic house set in glorious gardens. Nice pub and tea rooms in village. Good walking routes set in countryside. Short bus ride direct on 36 fast route.

Harewood House is a country house in Harewood, West Yorkshire, England. Designed by architects John Carr and Robert Adam, it was built, between 1759 and 1771, for Edwin Lascelles, 1st Baron Harewood, a wealthy West Indian plantation and slave-owner. Visitors can enjoy exhibitions of contemporary art, rare Bird Garden, Farm Experience and over 100 acres of exquisite gardens to explore.

In just a short 15min drive you can visit the fabulous Harewood House! Have you spotted the Kites (birds) flying around Leeds? Harewood House bred these birds when they were almost extinct, now they are back to great population and can be regularly seen soaring the skys!
