Instead of exposed tall pueblos, the ancient people of Walnut Canyon used the ledges and alcoves in the limestone walls to build their compact cliff dwellings. A couple of trails take you right to the ancient structures so you are definitely walking in the footsteps of the past. If you want to avoid climbing, a rim trail keeps you up top with great views.
