This is a very good walking experience, especially in summer when the cricket is on. Very rural and beautiful. There’s a little shop there and not much else. A little river/ stream to paddle through. On Friday night it was the Albert club Christmas party, always a bit frenetic but ever so lovely. Children queuing to see Santa, crafting activities making decorations, festive food bratwurst and gluivein. Then the didsbury choir turned up and we all sang for 30 minutes together, of course I joined in, all stood together in a circle. So special and surrounded with love and laughter. We sang this song. Lily Allen | Somewhere Only We Know (John Lewis Christmas Advert) of course theirs always sad news too, one mum diagnosed with breast cancer weeks ago, now recovering at home from her mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. Her children having sleep overs and being sent lots of extra prayers. My emotions a little elevated and stretched, happy, sad, love, anger. Special memories made.
