i used to live here + cherished the place. it's a lovely historic area. awesome playground for the kiddos, storytime at the little library, preserved train depot. gardens. quiet. easy. beauty. there's often free early shows-- fiddles + the like. the marigold festival is wonderful. you can rent the pavilion there for family reunions + events. enjoy. www.cityofwinterville.wordpress.com
