Nata come sinagoga in un' area che era in passato il ghetto ebraico, fu convertita in chiesa cattolica in seguito all'espulsione degli Ebrei da Cagliari intorno al 1500. Formerly a Sinagogue, it stands in an area that once was the Jewish ghetto. It was converted into a Catholic church after the expulsion of the Jews from Cagliari around 1500.
