大阪市民に一番人気がある橋です。大正4年竣工。橋詰めにライオン像が4頭。お寺の阿形吽形像や神社の狛犬像のように、口を開けた「阿」と、閉じた「吽」が対になって、橋の南北を守ります。このライオン像は北浜の象徴です。
