The São Luiz Municipal Theater is considered one of the most important shows in the city. Inaugurated on May 22, 1894 under the name Theater Dona Amelia, at the time queen of Portugal. In 1910, with the fall of the monarchy happens to be called Theater of the Republic. In 1928 São Luiz Cinema, the first sound cinema of Portugal. Rebaptized in 1960.

Teatro São Luiz is one of the most important theaters in Lisbon. Opened in 1894, it's had the names of Queen Amélia Theater, Theater of the Republic, and São Luiz Cine. It was given its current name when it was acquired by City Hall in 1971. Now presenting a varied programming usually featuring young artists.

Thaeter/ It has avery good restaurante - +/- 15/20 euros person. Nearby has other good restaurants/ A nice walk

It has an eclectic program of everything from Theater, Music and Dance. Definitely worth checking out.
