Our tiny house in the trees is set amongst the ferns and pongas with seclusion in mind, only native birds as close neighbours. No road noise, off street parking. Nature permitting, you can star gaze while soaking in the outdoor bath, spot the milky way, or our very own glow worms. 15mins drive to CBD and Eat street, Gondolas, Canopy Tours, Hobbiton approximately an hour away.

I am offering a quiet accommodation on a 2ha lifestyle property that supports a sustainable, self-sufficient life and has breathtaking lake views. The AirBnB is a unit next to the main house for up to 4 people, ideal for a couple or family with kids. The unit has a bathroom and basic kitchen items, the kitchen is shared with me in the main house. I have 3 large dogs that are very friendly and love guests. AUGUST CLOSED FOR RENOS

The Penthouse Studio at Lake Tarawera

This spacious studio apartment is set in native bush at Lake Tarawera, at the back of a lake-front property. However, it does have great views of the lake. It has one main room which includes a kitchen area, a dining room table, a lounge and beds and there's a separate bathroom. It is accessed up a flight of stairs with a laundry for use downstairs. Wifi is available. There is an outdoor patio, with comfortable furniture, sun umbrella and magnificent views across the lake to the mountain.

Just down the hill is Whakaipo Bay recreational area with calm swimming waters and access to the W2K track. Our home is perfect for anyone who is looking for a rural outlook only minutes from town. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view!

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).
