Azalea House is on the slope of Mt. Hiei, a world-heritage. To get there, drive 20 min. from Kyoto-Higashi exit on Meishin. Or ride the bus 30 min. from downtown Kyoto or 20 min. from JR Otsukyo Sta. and get off before Hieidaira convenience store. The host will meet you there. Bus service drastically reduced since Covid-19. Free parking space. Easy access to both Kyoto and Lake Biwa. Rich in nature. Completely detached, full privacy, handy & cozy like home. Please use our kitchen for simple cooking. The nearest stations are Oji Station on the JR Line and Goido Station on the Kintetsu Line. I'll come pick you up until 5pm. Please use the bus to return home. There is a bus stop nearby. If you are arriving by car, there is parking available on site. This 60-year-old traditional home has been fully renovated, offering guests a deep sense of both "Japan" and "Nara". Check-in time is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Due to other work commitments, I can't accept check-ins after 5pm, but I will do my best to accommodate check-ins before 2pm. Check-in is not possible on dates listed in the house rules and Sundays. (Staying and check-out possible) This is a guest house that is a 100-year-old Japanese traditional house that I renovated myself. The old house is 300㎡ and the field is 300㎡. Recommended for couples, solo travelers, and families.

The apartment is 5 minutes walking from imperial garden , 7 minutes from Kyoto City Hall . Good mix of antique and modern kyoto , as many as you can find trendy restaurants and cafes & bakeries all around, you find traditional Japanese tea house and sweet stores also local eat-ins. Although commercial center is walking away distance , my place is on quiet one way street.
