This area is perfect for just an overnight or short stay for guests passing through Brisbane or on their way home by air. With normal traffic conditions it's about 25 minutes by taxi/Uber to the airport. Just note that if you are walking from the station or bus stop, there’s a very steep hill to walk up, not good on a hot day!It’s difficult with a big bag because the footpath also runs out. Just let me know if you are arriving this way and I may be able to pick you up.
The space is small, but very light filled and has a very private porch directly outside with views of the garden. We do not supply breakfast as such, but there’s a Nespresso machine, toaster, microwave, small fridge and kettle. There is also milk, tea , coffee pods and banana bread or a lovely cafe an easy walk away called “Brisbean”. The garden itself is accessible and pleasant to take a walk around with a pond, chicken house and possibly two little friendly, curious Pomeranians to keep you company ! We also welcome your dog if he/she is small and well behaved. They are allowed inside the room as small dogs are usually used to being inside and there is a grass area just outside for them to do their business. We would appreciate it if you picked up the doo doos because others including ourselves also use that area ! The area is fenced so there is no problem with escapees. We keep our dogs separate if you do bring yours, it is just quieter and safer for all .
Our neighbourhood is quiet, leafy, family and dog friendly, perfect for taking a walk around if you don't mind hills ! There are great views of the city to be had and breezes in the evenings.

We love our home and would be glad to welcome nice and respectful guests. The apartment has City views and beautiful views onto leafy Alderley. Please let us know what time you will be arriving so we can organise for someone to be home to let you in. As we both work we will need to organise in advance for you to have access to our home
Your room has a comfortable king bed, a built in wardrobe plus a ceiling fan. Your bathroom is in the next room over with a large mirror, shower, toilet and sink. Our kitchen is well equipped and you’re welcome to store your food in the fridge.
Alderley is a classic Brisbane suburb located just 10 minutes drive from the CBD and 20 to Brisbane Airport. We are located on the main road with access to everything you may need. There’s a Coles supermarket, restaurants, train station, buses and a bottle shop all within 5 minutes walk from the building. A service station/convenience store is right next to the building which is open 24hrs.

A separate, self contained apartment with it’s own entrance. We live upstairs with our two pomeranians, who might want to visit if you give them permission ! There are views, with a tropical garden and we are close to the city, airport and shops. There is frequent public transport either bus or train. Or if you have a car there is safe on street parking. The supermarket, a health food store , small Asian supermarket and good cafes and restaurants are close by all within walking distance.
A lovely, light and traditional style space with access to the back garden with views and breezes. There is a shared laundry with washing machine and dryer as well as plenty of washing lines outside.
We are very convenient to the airport and the city centre as well as a Coles supermarket which is a short walk away.

Clean and comfortable, our room is perfect for travellers. The airport is only a 10 -minute drive away (or a $20 Uber ride). We are so close to the city and the airport, nothing is out of reach. We are a 1 minute walk from the supermarket, coffee shops, restaurants and bus stop. Walk 10 minutes and enjoy a City Cat ride along the Brisbane River or the dining options at Portside. Travel 15 minutes by Uber and you are in the City!

My home will hopefully feel like your home away from home. As can be expected from a house of this age, it has its quirks. I may or may not be fully finished painting the exterior (bigger job than I expected. I don't yet have WiFi. My apologies if this is a deal breaker for you. I do however have very comfortable couches to watch exciting free-to-air tv. There is free street parking available if you are driving. The driveway is not wide enough to park a number of vehicles in unfortunately.
Your room during your stay contains a comfy double bed. Towels and linen provided. Spare pillows and duvet / doona and linen available in the drawers in your room if required. My home is very close to the shops (IGA, Dominos, 7-11 etc). Chermside shopping centre is a 5 minute drive away. Sandgate is 10 mins the other way. The city is 20 mins drive or around 20-30 mins on the train.
Zillmere is a suburb thats pretty interesting. Its ethnically diverse. I've found it relatively quiet. There are certainly some interesting people around if you head up to the IGA after 8pm.

Look no further for your next stay in Brisbane, this modern, quiet, master room situated in a clean, leafy, relaxed complex is perfect for all types of travellers! Your room is the best one in my house! Private ensuite & balcony, TV, study desk, air con and the walk in robe even features your own kitchenette! Honestly, it's the quietest place I've ever lived which is surprising due to it's proximity to all the things you need for city living - Shops, transport and restaurants!
When you enter the complex you will be pleasantly surprised at how clean, peaceful and quiet it is. It's really quite relaxing staying here. The master bedroom can accommodate two guests and boasts a Queen size bed, small study desk, TV and walk in robe with kitchenette. The attached balcony is decked out with a table and chairs, Bernie the balcony fern used to live here (may he RIP) but he has been replaced with some hardy succulents! There are some solar fairy lights for those wishing to bask in their subtle ambience. You'll find the complex is quite peaceful both day and night and enjoy sitting out here. Your own private ensuite is stocked with environmentally friendly shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer (NB I don’t think hairdryers are enviro friendly). Even the supplied toilet paper and tissues do their bit to make the world a better place ("WHO GIVES A CRAP" brand - look them up) – so you can clean yourself with pride! The shower is quite large, as is the hand basin (weirdly so for an ensuite…) There’s plenty of natural light and privacy from the attached room if needed too. Inside the walk-in cupboard is a bar fridge that’s big enough to store all your fresh foods/drinks, and additional cupboard space for other items. A kettle, toaster and microwave are provided as well. The TV cabinet contains some bowls, plates, cutlery and complimentary tea & coffee. If the in-room kitchenette isn’t cutting it for you, you’re welcome to use the main kitchen that is stocked with all necessary white goods (they’re silver though), appliances, pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery that you will need to cook your meals. Plenty of fridge and cupboard storage available and it’s super easy to clean up after yourself in the sink or dishwasher for larger cook-ups. Feel free to use the main living and dining areas with me – it’s kinda set up as a bachelor pad (think Joey and Chandler’s apartment from Friends) but ample big enough for us. There’s a small laundry behind the main kitchen with a brand-spankin’ new large front loader, with all the energy and water efficient stickers still intact to tell you how great it is. If you need to wash anything this is the place to do it. Out the back is where washing can be hung, there is a deck and a hammock here too and a veggie garden (or what I call garDAN) is constantly under construction. The complex has a pool and basic cardio gym – there are some opening time restrictions here so please be mindful of them (this isn't the time to stick to the man!)but otherwise, enjoy!
There are a number of parks and walking/bike tracks surrounding the complex and a minute drive or 1km walk puts you at the Everton Park Charlies/Woolworths hub featuring a range of places to eat, from sushi to vegan desserts! Although you can get good coffee here, my fave places are a short drive away to Elixir Coffee in Stafford or Tiller Coffee in Alderley.

Your space is on the top floor, (the entry level) with full amenities and leafy views over suburban Brisbane. Our home is only 20 minutes from Brisbane Airport and for sports lovers, Suncorp Stadium is only 5km away. The train and bus are an easy walk, or you can catch an Uber at the front door.
When you open the bi fold doors and walk onto the back deck, you'll feel like you're in a tree house. The sense of space is amazing. STEPS: The house is on top of a hill, so there are stairs, nine, (9) steps down to the front door.
We live in a quiet, leafy inner city neighbourhood, with plenty of public transport close by, train, bus, or Uber. A Coles Supermarket, plus several restaurants & coffee shops are all within walking distance. Brisbane Airport is only 20 minutes away. Suncorp Stadium, South Bank and downtown Brisbane, 10 minutes away by car. The Gold and Sunshine Coasts are a 60 to 90 minutes drive. (Train service to Gold Coast is approximately 2hrs)

This is a cosy cottage with beautiful natural gardens and hedged that make the place lovely and serene. the cottage is actually in the the middle of the busy bulimba/oxford street cimena and dining district...we have a beautiful cavalier dog that is in and around the property. there is a living room off the bedroom that is actually more like an ensuite to the room. this is one of the best neighbourhoods in brisbane and definitely the most lively with a diverse restaurant scene,cafes,cinema,all amentities sucha as supermarkets,chemists ,24 hour shops, ferry and buses to the city within walking distance

  • El meu amic i jo ens ho passem molt bé a casa de Dave. És molt simpàtic i parlant. Davant de casa hi ha una estació d'autobusos. Molt convenient. La zona és molt bona, però amb tot el que necessiteu. Si tornem a Brisbane, definitivament tornaré a viure aquesta casa.

    QUICK OVERVIEW Guests over 40yrs preferred. Free off-street parking (undercover). Double bed, looking out at view through glass doors. Own, private large bathroom. Aircon / heating GREAT mountain-view from back deck (outside bedroom). Your deck is at tree-top level, up with the birds! Separate room to store suitcases etc. Kitchen available for light use. A little to one side of your area and you can find owner there sometimes. Good place to chat. Breakfast is provided in the kitchen. TV room. Good indoor spaces for sitting, if it is windy or rainy and the large deck is not suitable. 日本人の方大歓迎です。 This says "Japanese people welcome" MORE DETAIL Set on a gentle hill, this house is in a safe, residential, suburban street. Guests have access to 1 (one) entire floor of the 2-level house. The large kitchen is to one side, a little separate. Your floor is home-like - this does not mean untidy !! it means there are scattered books, interesting objects, indoor plants and a general home-like feeling - as opposed to stark minimalism. If you want CBD / 'downtown' buzz, please stay closer to the city. (Younger guests can be dismayed at how quiet and far from 'the action' this property is.) This is a quiet retreat at the city edge, where the architecture changes from CBD concrete to traditional wooden Queenslander style, with verandas, trees, rainbow lorikeets (small parrots) and a big sky - so consider this Aussie accommodation. The high back deck has an uninterrupted view of the D'Aguilar Range - the roof-tops of other houses are below as you stand on the large veranda and look out. Restaurants are within very easy driving distance if you have a car and walking distance if you are fit. (Truly not far, but some people are just not walkers ! ) PRICE No cleaning fee added on to price. $60 for one person. $70 for 2 people. Note that the extra charge covers breakfast, separate towels, hot water and showers for the second person. With no stairs for guests, this house really suits mature guests. (Hosts use internal stairs.) So mature guests are welcomed. Over 35 is a good starting point. There is an entirely private carport, set aside for guest use only. You walk through an entry room (drop off your suitcases, if you like) to get to your back-of-house bedroom. Between these two rooms there's your large, private bathroom. A large deck / veranda, a sitting room and a private television. The kitchen can be accessed for light cooking (often, guests eat at the pleasant kitchen table - but in Brisbane the veranda is fine for breakfast for most of the year. This accommodation is for up to 5 nights & 5 easy-going, slow-start-to-the-day breakfasts. When our paths cross, very happy to answer questions about trains/ buses and other queries. Television and sitting room. A scattering of different styles of chairs, which can be swapped around, rather than a sofa. BEDROOM details The guest bedroom is at the back of the house (where the view is) and therefore away from the street. The bedroom is standard size but opens onto a large deck immediately outside the sliding glass door. In daylight hours, leave the door open and treat the large, covered, private deck as an extension of the bedroom. Table, cane chairs with cushions, potted plants / herbs, and great view. IT'S B&B, NOT 'RENTED SPACE' Like 80% of Airbnbs, this is a private home and you are a paying guest not a renter-of-space . If you have Brisbane friends or relatives, meet them at their place, have them pick you up here (outside), meet at a cafe etc. GETTING OUT AND ABOUT Have the best of both worlds: spend your days in the CBD ("downtown"), Southbank or elsewhere and return to peace and quiet. Easy access to buses and trains. Bus takes you straight to Southbank, the 'arts precinct' of Brisbane - big state art galleries, theatres, museum, restaurants etc. Southbank is set on the banks of the wide Brisbane River, which also has 'city cats' - catamarans that are part of the public transport system in Brisbane. Buy a "Go-card" for a bus or train and you can use the city cats too - to get somewhere or just for a very cheap river cruise! There's also CityHopper, Brisbane City Council’s free ferry service. These CityHopper ferries run every 30 minutes between 6am and midnight, seven days a week, and service the more 'tourist' stops such as the Maritime Museum, South Bank 3 etc. There's a train station at about the same distance as bus stop (7 -10 min casual walk, less if you are a brisk walker). 5 stops and you are in Fortitude Valley or another stop and you are at Central Station - the heart of Brisbane. For free City Loop buses, use your search engine to look for Free City Loop buses, Brisbane. Free and saves a lot of walking around downtown / CBD.
    Amazingly green and treed for an inner suburb. Nearby large, natural-style parks for walks. Perhaps boring for the younger set - for the older set, safe and secure area, no hotels rolling out their clientele in the small hours. Walking distance to the train station. Also, some guests might want to go in the opposite direction from Brisbane City for a half-day trip - eg drive up Mount Glorious to the Cloverlea Cottage cafe, with its stunning view to the horizon. Or drive to the nearby, pretty Samford Valley. Have a drink on the huge, tree-shaded, wooden veranda of the Dayboro Crown Hotel - one of those old-style Aussie country pubs. Enjoy the experience before a developer turns it into a block of condos...
