A 4 bedroom Grade II Listed cottage located in a small rural hamlet in the Essex countryside, perfect for relaxing with family and friends. This home has plenty of character with exposed beams throughout and a large fireplace, perfect for those colder winter nights. Outside, there is a large garden and a paved terrace making this the perfect space for summer evenings. Make the most of the local walking and bike routes with picturesque views or take a drive to visit one of the local villages.

Transfers, EV charging and car storage available A King Size Bed awaits plus a small double and Z-Bed for children (Total occupancy is 4 people). Well behaved pets welcome. Garden House is a tranquil haven nestled in rural Essex. A 5-bed holistic house where serenity meets rejuvenation. Welcome to your home away from home, where every detail is designed to nurture your mind, body, and spirit. With walks on your doorstep. 15 minutes to stansted airport and near the M11 and M25. Down a quiet country lane with a cricket pitch next door. We have 5 spacious bedrooms, 2 with en-suite, 3 showers, 4 toilets, Outdoor area with bbq, sauna, hot tub and private garden.

Dynes Cottage at Finchingfield Holiday Cottages

A large thatched cottage dating back 400 yrs, Dynes Cottage is set in a complex of 3 houses & surrounded by beautiful countryside. With a private outdoor courtyard & a beautiful orchard, you can relax with the whole family. Sleeps 10. The cottage is just 1/2 a mile from Finchingfield, one of the prettiest villages in the country, with great pubs & tea rooms. The cottage is hosted by Catherine who lives on site. Acorn Cottage (4 bed) can be rented in conjunction with Dynes cottage.

Recently converted Nissen Barn on beautiful farm

The recently converted Nissen Barn is located on a farm in its own private meadow. The barn is surrounded by the beautiful Essex countryside - rolling hills, ancient trees, wildflowers and grasses, hedgerows, horses and sheep. The conversion was completed in March 2021 and sleeps 4 adults in 2 big bedrooms. There is also a loft bedroom accessed by a hidden door with a king size mattress suitable for older children or a couple. Perfect for families, but note there is no enclosed garden.

The Round House

Come & spend some time in a unique & tranquil, 18th Century cottage. Situated on the edge of beautiful Finchingfield & surrounded by fields, The Round House is the perfect getaway for cozying up or getting out & about in the gorgeous countryside. With beams galore, a central stacked fireplace with log burner, a compact galley kitchen & dining area. Upstairs is a double bedroom & stunning bathroom. Outside the house is surrounded by garden with amazing views over stunning countryside.

Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean & sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations. Five mins Chelmsford City Racecourse, 4 mins Hatfield Peverel train station to London, 25 mins Stansted Airport, 30 mins Colchester. Oakwrights is in the middle of Chelmsford, Braintree and Witham all only 10 mins drive.
