The cottage is named for the cows that live in the surrounding fields who will often pop their heads over the garden wall to have a munch on the foliage. With far reaching views over the hills and valleys of this special corner of the Peak District, Stoneswood Cottage combines a modernised interior (fully refurbished in 2025) with the charming character of a typical 19th century Yorkshire home. The Garden boasts a beautiful outdoor dining and BBQing area. The Stables Wedding Farm is only 150 yards down the road and the Delph Whit Friday Band Contest a genuine 3 minutes walk from the front door.

Pots & Pans Cottage, Saddleworth, Uppermill

Pots & Pans Cottage is a charming dog-friendly​ 18th-century weavers cottage located in a small hamlet 10 minutes walk from the centre of Uppermill village in Saddleworth, and 35 minutes away from Manchester. The location of the cottage is quiet and peaceful, so it is not a suitable place to hold a party. It is, however, a fabulous spot for a relaxing retreat into the countryside, with the open Peak District right on the doorstep.

Set in the hillside of Greenfield, Saddleworth. The cottage is situated on our family farm where we have a variety of animals: horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, dogs and cats. Due to the potential dangers we ask that guests do not access the yard and use the designated path to the cottage.
