My place is good for couples and sole adventurers. It's walking distance to the sea and native bush. 15 minutes drive to Whakatane. I am a creator of art, so my house reflects that. I'm Ngati Rangitihi from the local iwi (tribe). I live in a very peaceful spot, lots of bird life and I am into gardening organically and recycling, being kaitiaki (guardian).
Our older style home is situated in the balmy Matata township. You will find the most fantastic white sand beaches which stretch for miles and miles. Great fishing off the beach so be sure to bring your surf caster. The township amenities offer two general stores, a café and coffee shop, fish n chip shops, hairdresser, petrol station, bottle store and a pub with restaurant. Matata is centrally located, with 20mins to Whakatane or Kawerau. 30 mins to Lake Rotoma and 40 mins to Mt Maunganui.
A unique place in a coastal village with wonderful views of the ocean. This well presented property has a charm all of its own and guests absolutely fall in love with it. It has all the facilities that is required for a restful stay.
