Three Bedrooms with three standard double beds. Large family bathroom with both shower and original (deep) bath. The kitchen has been modernised with large gas range cooker and granite worktops. A relaxing living room with wood burning stove, large sofa and beautiful elevated south facing views over the garden , patio and Teviot . The cottage is the perfect retreat, yet centrally located in the Scottish Borders, just over an hour from both Edinburgh and Newcastle.Free WIFI , bed linen, towels and firewood included in the price.Well behaved dogs and obediant children welcome!

Nearest pub and cafe within 1 mile. Shops in Selkirk 5 Miles, Others in Hawick, Melrose, Galshiels, Jedburgh and Kelso Lots to see and do. Good for stars on clear nights.
This spacious wooden bungalow is clean and comfortable. The kitchen /living room is open plan with table top hob and oven ,plus microwave , toaster , fridge freezer . It is only suitable for light cooking not masterchef ! We provide tea , coffee , milk and a few little extras to start you off.
Short uphill walk of approximately 50 meters from allocated parking space.

  • La casa és perfecta per a una estada relaxant i acollidora i, de fet, és més espaiosa del que sembla a les fotos. La finca és preciosa i permet accedir fàcilment a rutes a peu locals i igual distància de totes les ciutats frontereres. Vam passar dos dies caminant. Vam fer els Eildon Hills de Melrose i després vam passar un dia a Kielder Cycling! Vaig tenir un temps genial i encantador per tornar a casa a una estufa de troncs i un bany calent! No ens vam trobar amb Andy, però Mary és preciosa i ens va donar tot el que necessitàvem i no vam veure ningú per a la resta del viatge, que era perfecte per a nosaltres. Un lloc fantàstic que recomano.

  • Amables amfitrions, casa rural encantadora, molt hospitalària, molt acollidora, és una ubicació fantàstica si voleu allunyar-vos de la vida de la ciutat i voleu estar al camp. El paisatge de la zona és impressionant i Edimburg està a només 1 hora amb cotxe, de manera que obtindreu el millor dels dos. Et recomano allotjar-se aquí, també té una bona relació qualitat-preu.

    Wester Cottage is a 150-year-old farm cottage situated just outside St Boswells. We enjoy living in this lovely part of Scotland and look forward to welcoming guests to our home. It is an ideal base for exploring this area. It is also easily accessible to St Cuthberts Way which is just 1 mile away. We also provide a cooked breakfast. The guest room is comfortable and spacious with an adjacent shower room. It has its own separate entrance so you are free to come and go as you please.
    The cottage is just outside St Boswells and is a centrally situated base for exploring the area and visiting the many historic abbeys and castles in the Borders. The landscape in the Borders is one of gently rolling hills of great natural beauty and the area is rich in not only in scenic attractions but also with great houses and an amazing store of literary, legendary and historic associations. The Cottage is an ideal stop-off for walkers on St Cuthbert's Way or the Borders Abbey Way. Sporting facilities in the village include a nine-hole golf course and tennis courts.
    St Boswells is an old village on the banks of the river Tweed. One if its attractions today is the Mainstreet Trading bookshop and cafe which draws people from all around. In the village there is a McColls food store as well as two take-ways, a couple of hairdressers, a newsagent and post office. There are two eating places, the nearest being the Buccleuch Arms on the A68, about half a mile from our house, and Hunters Stables Italian restaurant in the centre of the village. The centre of the village is about one mile away from our house. There are also restaurants in Melrose about three miles away.

    Recently renovated about 2 years ago we class our house as very cosy comfortable and relaxing. We like to think our guests would experience that feeling too. We also have a second room for anyone wanting to book for bigger parties ( listed separately on airbnb).
    Cosy comfortable sunny double room , tea and coffee supplied and shared bathroom (if other room occupied). Ideally situated for sight seeing, walkers, cyclists and people looking to fish the tweed. You can enjoy our stunning scenery. Easy access to the Eildon hills, and 2 mile walk to the beautiful town of Melrose . There you can visit the historic Abbey and enjoy lots of lovely coffee shops, bars and restaurants and join The Southern Upland Way walk leading through lots of border towns. You can also join the St Cuthbarts way walk at the back of the house enjoying a lovely stroll along the river tweed. There is a bus stop situated across from our house with services to various different villages and towns and directly to Edinburgh. A short drive away in Tweedbank you will find the train station that travels to Edinburgh Waverly which takes about an hour also stopping at other destinations on the way.
    Very quiet and relaxed village with beautiful scenery all around. Shop and local pub within 5 minutes walking distance.

A snug and quirky space with own entrance, comprised of a downstairs area with lounge, kitchenette, dining table, WC and shower. Upstairs bedroom has two single beds. Private off road parking directly outside the property. Books, wifi and digital radio to keep you entertained but no TV. In the heart of the village of St Boswells, a perfect base for exploring the Scottish Borders.
    The shower is directly off the main living space, see photos for reference. The bedroom is at the top of a set of narrow and steep stairs so may be unsuitable for those with limited mobility. Kitchen area includes kettle, toaster, two ring induction hob and fridge freezer. Breakfast - cereal, milk, tea and coffee provided
    St Boswells has been named as one of the top ten places to live by the Sunday Times. This beautiful village in the heart of the Scottish Borders features the award winning bookshop/deli Mainstreet Trading, and award winning coaching inn, The Buccleuch Arms, with it's excellent pub and restaurant.     This studio is presented to a high standard and is an ideal base for sightseeing, walking, cycling and fishing (on the nearby River Tweed). While set in the heart of Melrose, it's secluded and private location gives you a peaceful setting in which to relax. Bikes, fishing tackle, walking gear etc can be stored in the garage. Bikes are available if you'd like to travel around and a travel cot is also available on request.
    You are 2 minutes’ walk from the centre of the historic town of Melrose, the birthplace of rugby sevens. It is one of the prettiest towns in the Borders, positioned at the foot of the triple peaks of the Eildon Hills (the most distinctive single landmark in the Scottish Borders). The ruins of Melrose Abbey (dating from 1136) is a very popular tourist attraction. Melrose has a lovely selection of unique shops, restaurants and cafes just a 2 minutes stroll from the accommodation.

    School Cottage is located in the picturesque village of Gattonside, a 10 minute walk from the centre of the historic town of Melrose.     The Stables Holiday Cottage Melrose forms forming part of a luxurious new barn conversion just three miles from the pretty Borders town of Melrose in the Scottish Borders with spectacular views towards the Eildon Hills and countryside beyond. Sympathetically renovated to create stunning light-filled living spaces which compliment their rural settings. The Stables Holiday Cottage Melrose is a perfect mix of original and contemporary features teamed with luxurious furnishings, stylish fixtures and underfloor heating. The light filled open plan living area has superb views of the Eildon Hills and opens out onto a south-facing decked area from which to relax and enjoy a glass of wine! The two bedrooms are beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and luxurious linens with one bedroom en-suite and the other enjoying its own separate luxurious bathroom.
    The property sits on one floor and comprises:- A utility room which is accessed from the main door of the property and includes a sink, storage area, and washing machine with dryer. Open plan sitting room/dining kitchen. The sitting room area features elegant furnishings from Michael Vee Interiors including a sofa (please note the sofa in the photos has since been replaced with a darker coloured 3 seater), large wing armchair and leather chair with footstool. Technology includes a wall mounted flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD players. Books, board games and a selection of DVDs are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, integrated dishwasher and microwave. Dining space with seating for four. Bedroom one has a superking bed, with side tables, console, and fitted wardrobe with shelving and hanging space. Family Bathroom with separate shower unit (rainforest head), large bath, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Bedroom two features zip and link beds which can be set up as a superking or twin as preferred - please let us know at time of booking how you would prefer this room to be made up. Heating Bioethanol fire with living flame - Guests will receive 4 bottles of fuel for a week-long stay and 3 for anything shorter. Eating Out The village of Gattonside is a ten minute walk away and there are two restaurants there – Seasons and the Hoebridge. Melrose is about a 25 minute walk with various cafes, bars and restaurants. Dogs Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at the property at a charge of £20 per dog, but they must be kept to the uncarpeted areas of the property and are not permitted in the bedrooms. It is essential that owners clean-up after their pets and respect the access requirements of the estate. The area surrounding the barn is farmland and dogs must be kept under control at all times, and particularly when there is livestock in the adjacent fields. Please advise at the time of booking if you will be bringing your dogs. Guest privacy The Stables is a semi-detached property and sits within a small, peaceful development of three other converted properties. The decking area and garden ground looks onto the access of the adjoining Smiddy and Granary. If you have any concerns, please call us to discuss. There are open fields to the front and rear of the development. No Smoking Smoking is strictly prohibited. Additional Accommodation For guests looking to holiday together this cottage can be booked alongside the Granary sleeping 8, Byre sleeping 4 and Smiddy sleeping 4. The properties are located next door to each other.

    Mulberry Cottage is a unique place to stay in the lovely quaint village of Bowden, only 3 miles from the beautiful market town of Melrose. The cottage has been thoughtfully decorated with a lovely Arts and Crafts design throughout. Rooms painted in deep colours, echoed with gold finishes and stunning statement pieces. Two wonderfully comfortable super king beds with one bed zip & link converting into 2 singles. Art Deco style bathroom upstairs and a wonderful large shower downstairs.
    Mulberry Cottage is certainly unique. Interior styled, warm colours and arts and crafts inspired. Cosy but spacious. A patio outside for dining on summer evenings.
    Bowden is a lovely quaint village only 3 miles from the lovely market town of Melrose. Melrose offers all the things you need. A wonderful and well renowned Butchers, Martin Baird which is found on the high street. Hendersons, a beautiful garden shop. Micheal V, a stunning Interior Design shop. Greenhouse, for the a coffee and scone & The Provender, for a delicious lunch & dinner. Beautiful walks from your door will take you directly to The 3 Eildons.

    Rural setting in a converted Steading only 1 mile from the historic town of Jedburgh, on the main A68 route from Newcastle to Edinburgh. We are just off the 4 Abbey ways route and st Cuthberts way. Modern accommodation ideal for travelling, walking, motorbike, golfing or cycling. With a large private sitting room with open fire for restful evenings. Breakfast is a help your self varied menu from toast to a full Scottish! A delightful, peaceful getaway with large garden available too.
    There are 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor, also a sitting room, bathroom, shower room and shared kitchen with myself. There is a twin on the 1st floor. If bedrooms are booked the sitting room has a sofa bed in it so the house can sleep groups up to 8. The large garden is also available with seating etc. Modern and clean, the house offers a great break in the countryside just 5 mins from town.
    The house is in a peaceful location, within 20 minutes walk to the centre of Jedburgh. My neighbours run a equestrian centre so we have horses and dogs around us. There are plenty of walking/cycle routes around. Jedburgh is very historic and is a great place to explore from. An hour from Edinburgh, Newcastle, Carlisle, Alnwick etc etc

    The Blue Brick Bothy is situated in my garden and has its own private entrance. It has a large room which has a double bed, a sofa, coffee table and wood burning stove. There is a private loo and basin and a small kitchette with a sink where you can make hot drinks. There is also a large fridge/freezer and a microwave. The shower, which is private, is in the main house. Continental breakfast. No TV or Wifi. Totally private get away from it all location.
    Guests can privately sit in the pretty garden. Cushions for garden chairs can be found in little blue shed.
    St Boswells is a quiet pretty village. We are lucky to have a Post Office, a general store, McCalls, a couple of hairdressers, a hotel/bar/ restaurant (The Buccleuch Arms), A pizzeria/ Italian restaurant ( Hunters Stables), chip shop and the award winning Mainstreet Trading Bookshop/ coffee shop is across the road from me. This has WiFi access. There are some lovely walks immediately out of the door and we also have a pretty golf course which is set down by the River Tweed. There are tennis courts, play parks and a cricket pitch all walking distance.

    Lovely twin bedroom with private bathroom located in Melrose, close to the Eildon Hills. Great location for walkers, cyclists and anyone who generally likes the outdoors. Melrose town centre is a 15 minutes walk downhill, with lovely local shops, restaurants, cafes, delicatessens, bakeries and butchers. Guests can be treated to breakfast of cereals, home cooked porridge or eggs, toast and preserves.
    Lovely twin bedroom with space for guests to hang clothes and store their belongings. Separate bathroom is just next door which is solely for the use of those staying, with an excellent power shower and bath. The bedroom has a kettle in it, with tea, coffee and biscuits which you are welcome to help yourself to, along with a TV. Clean towels and toiletries will also be provided.
    Melrose is a very pretty town with a number of lovely pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from, along with Melrose Abbey which is situated in the centre. It's also a great base for walking the popular St Cuthberts Way, Eildon Hills and the Southern Upland Way. Other places of interest nearby include Abbotsford House which is a 10 min drive away, Traquair House which is a 30 min drive away, Melrose Golf Club which is a 5 min walk away and the River Tweed which is great for salmon fishing.

    St Cuthbert barn is a lovely and cosy small converted barn that accommodates 4 people, the barn is ideal for walkers and for family getaways. Directly behind the barn we have the lovely ancrum pantry farm shop that serves breakfast rolls and we have cross keys pub/restaurant right next door too Perfect if your wanting to explore the lovely Scottish Borders and we are a pet friendly.
    We have 2 beds in the bedroom area and we also have a pull out bed we can put in the middle, one step up to the living area where we have a day bed and another pull out bed. A small kitchen area with a fridge, kettle toaster and microwave grill and a table with 4 chairs and a TV. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet
    Ancrum is such a lovely quiet friendly village, the local ancrum pantry shop is a brilliant shop with very friendly and helpful staff where you can get a tasty morning roll. Cross keys pub/restaurant has amazing food and are always happy to welcome you. Just outside ancrum you have harestanes which has a brilliant newly upgraded park and some nice walks there too

Important - Elliston is a working farm with livestock in the adjoining fields and it is imperative that dogs are kept under control and on leads whilst outwith the main courtyard and when walking in the immediate area. Guests can walk on the drive outside the courtyard but cannot walk in the surrounding fields with livestock. Wi-Fi and mobile coverage Wi-Fi is available but please note that speeds can be slower due to its rural location. Mobile reception is generally good. Garden and grounds There is a small patio area with garden bench to the front of Coachman’s which extends into a large shared courtyard with lawned area and ornamental pond. Although the exterior of the cottage is traditional in appearance, it is in complete contrast to the modern accommodation that lies within.     Fresh light and airy with fantastic views over the Scottish Hills this is a comfortable well appointed home which has been given great reviews by our lovely guests. Easy access to the Borders towns and only one hour by train into the heart of Edinburgh. Kitchen fully equipped, dishwasher, cooker fridge freezer. bathroom and upstairs shower room. oodles of hot water coal & logs to keep you cozy. This is a really perfect affordable retreat for couples or a family.
    The house is semi-detached. We have wonderful neighbours who are always happy to meet new people. The house is airy and light and has a very spacious, warm and comfortable welcoming feel. It is well equipped and guests who choose to stay longer will be provided with extra bed linen and towels. Oil central heating keeps the house warm and we have a coal fire if you want to snuggle up on a cold day. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS A CHARGE OF £2 PER COAL SCUTTLE due to the increased cost of fuel. An honesty jar is on the window ledge in the kitchen. Thanks
    Midlem is a very safe peaceful village and has a very relaxed pace of life. Melrose and Selkirk are your closest towns. Selkirk is as it has been for many years and could be described as a typical local Borders town. Melrose embraces tourists and has many lovely shops and eateries for you to while away your holiday time. The Waverley Trainline is 15 minutes drive from the house and takes you straight into the heart of Edinburgh via splendid countryside. There are so many places of interest in the Scottish Borders and a great reference point for information is The Scottish Borders Tourist Board who will be delighted to provide any local information to you before your visit.

It has a lovely cottage garden overlooking the Malt burn, which is bounded by the woods on the base of the Eildons.     Situated just yards from one of the listed pedestrian routes to the Eildon Hills, Number 27 is superbly positioned as a “base camp” for casual or keen walkers as well as those who are content to take the short stroll into town and avail themselves of the various wining and dining establishments or other places of interest. Time spent in the sitting room can be quiet and contemplative, with a glass or cup of something, a book and the glow of an open fire or guests can tune in to the digital tv for television or digital radio. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. The dining kitchen is good-sized and equipped with the main appliances (halogen hob; fan oven; fridge/freezer; microwave; dishwasher etc) and utensils and crockery. Outdoors, there is a small patio /terrace just outside the back door or guests can enjoy the landscaped and terraced garden overlooking the Malt Burn and the woods at the rear. The primary sounds being the Malt Burn in spate and the calls of woodland birds. The cellar room, with lighting and power, is accessed from the garden and offers storage suitable for bikes , golf clubs , walking boots etc The washing machine is located here and a clothes drying line (on retractable reel) is positioned outside, at the cellar door.
    Melrose is a magnet for those seeking cultured relaxation or outdoor pursuits. At the foot of the iconic Eildon Hills, Melrose is home to the world-famous Greenyards rugby ground and ancient Melrose Abbey. The annual book festival has become a popular fixture, attracting the great and the good every year. Melrose is now served (via the station at nearby Tweedbank) by the Waverley line to Edinburgh. The town is well served by a variety of privately run shops, hotels, pubs and restaurants. There are also library; museum; tennis courts; parks; gardens; and a co-op supermarket. For those needing retail park outlets ; swimming pool; cinema etc, Galashiels is located only about 3.7 miles away by road. (Alternatively the short rail trip could be taken from Tweedbank to Galashiels). The cottage is literally a few steps from the signposted St Cuthbert’s Way footpath leading to the Eildon Hills. From the front door, Melrose Abbey can be seen in the near distance and it, together with all of the amenities and attractions of Melrose, are within easy reach.

    Friarshawmuir is a beautiful smallholding dating to 1820 only 4 miles from Selkirk and within easy reach of many major walks and cycleways including the Southern Upland Way. It is reached by a private single track, tree lined road set amidst the most breathtaking Borders countryside. A warm welcome awaits you to a place of calm and simplicity.     The sleepery is a unique studio space with its own entrance, bathroom and kitchenette area. (please note the sofa bed is actually a pull out bed. Additional charge pp only applies to adults i.e 4 adults = +£20 )We provide tea coffee milk butter and jam within the room and you can pick up your freshly baked loaf from the Boot room each morning. The room is south facing enjoying fantastic views and glorious sunrises. There is a TV, small table and chairs. It is centrally heated from our solid fuel rayburn in the main farmhouse which gives us lashings of hot water too but we are on a private well and ask that everyone is mindful of water use to prevent our old pump system from burning out. There is also an electric stove should you need extra warmth. The plates cups etc all come from charity shops so no need to worry about breakages!There are beautiful walks of various lengths and a host of great places of interest, coffee shops and Bistros within a short drive. Our private woodland is the perfect place to wander, sit or try yoga on the platform, again with breathtaking views. there is also a communal area with enormous wood burning stove, sofas and a dining table so interacting with other guests is enjoyable should you choose to do so. It also includes our little shop full of art, antiques, books and curiosities with more items being added regularly. There are plenty places to exercise dogs who are most welcome here and all areas of Friarshawmuir. We love to welcome well behaved children and young people having 6 children between us and a grandchild! Two of our own Children help us run Friarshawmuir and are available to help you at any time.
    We are at 1000ft in the Scottish borders with spectacular views. It is a very quiet location.

There is a shop, bar/restaurant that has entertainment during the summer season, easter, Halloween, Christmas and New Year. There is a Laundrette on site, 9 hole golf course and lots to explore nearby. There is also a park in front of the bar for small children (up to approx 10), and some green space
