Brand new cosy home from home detached conversion with private entrance tastefully finished to a high standard. The main house was previously a Victorian doctors surgery which was converted by ourselves 10 years ago and is where we currently live. We believe the travellers rest prior to conversion was a coach house where weary travellers could stop and get hay for the horses during their trips to Edinburgh and Glasgow as it was so centrally located.
Ground Floor Open plan contemporary spacious living room / fully equipped kitchen with WC on ground floor. 42" Television with free-view and Netflix. Corner sofa that converts to double sofa bed very easily in seconds. First Floor One bedroom comprising of a super king bed which can be split into 2 singles upon request at time of booking and free-view television. Additionally a separate shower room and toilet next door to bedroom.
Harthill is a former mining village and is otherwise known as 'The heart of Scotland'.There are various takeaways and convenience shops a stones throw away for all of your daily needs. There is also a good restaurant around 400 meters away with a bar on the main street. A mile away there is Polkemmet country park with a nine hole golf course and driving range, also the Scottish owl centre is within the country park. Although Harthill is not a destination, it is very centrally located to explore both Edinburgh and Glasgow with extensive travel options within walking distance.

  • El lloc de David és un gran valor i exactament el que estàvem buscant a la nostra primera nit a Escòcia. Amb el trànsit, ens ha trigat una mica més d'una hora en arribar des del centre de Edimburg. Això ens va apropar a Glasgow al matí següent (perfecte per a nosaltres, ja que ens dirigim cap a la costa oest). Vam demanar "sopar per a dos" al restaurant per emportar índia a l'altre costat del carrer i vam rebre prou menjar per alimentar un exèrcit. Em quedaria aquí de nou.

  • David va ser un gran amfitrió. Es va oferir assessorament sobre l’àrea local i només es necessita una trucada telefònica si cal. El pis és molt ampli i còmode i es troba en un lloc tranquil. Vaig romandre 5 setmanes i estava trist de marxar. No es pot recomanar prou. Gràcies David!

    We offer a bedroom to the front of our house and access via front door. Car can be parked at front of house or in the driveway.     We offer a double bedroom within our home. We live in a three bedroomed bungalow with our two boxers, Lucy and Rosie so you need to be an animal lover to stay with us. You will have a bathroom with bath available to use and can share our lounge, kitchen and dining room including cooking and laundering facilities. We have a hot tub on our decking which can be made available.
    We live half way between Glasgow and Edinburgh in a small village close to Clyde Valley area. Excellent base for those wishing to take in the many tourist attractions available in central belt of Scotland.

    My flat is only a few steps from Linlithgow Loch and 5 minutes away from the Palace. I share my home with two curious and friendly indoor cats called Ginny and Felix and I also have a lovely lady lodger, who is also friendly. I work locally so I am usually on hand if required and I am always happy to help make your stay enjoyable.
    The flat is on two levels, a maisonette. The decor throughout is bright and modern. The bedroom is compact and has a small double bed (4 foot) which will fit two people snugly. A welcome tray with a small kettle and tea/coffee making supplies is in the room in case you fancy a late night or early morning cuppa but you are welcome to make full use of the kitchen during your stay. There is a selection of guide books in the bedroom for places of interest which you are welcome to use. There is a shared shower room in the flat. A washing machine is available for use on request. I provide a light breakfast of cereals, fruit and bread for toast along with tea, coffee and orange juice.
    The flat is situated in the heart of Linlithgow next to Linlithgow Loch and there are many pubs, restaurants and quirky shops on the doorstep The flat is 5 minutes walk from the train station and there is a bus stop right across from the main entrance. There is also off street parking and a residents car park.

It has its own private entrance and access to the garden at the rear. From the rear there are walks to Bantaskin park and along the canal to the Falkirk Wheel. There are delightful woodland walks from the accommodation.
    . Falkirk is a town in Scotland's central belt (Forth Valley) and 25 minutes drive away from Edinburgh and 40 minutes from Glasgow airports. Falkirk itself offers many interesting attractions including sections of the John Muir Way, The Falkirk Wheel, The Helix and Kelpies, Callendar House, Kinneil Heritage and Steam Railway, Antonine Wall, good shopping,restaurants/takeaways,pubs and leisure facilities.
    We live in a quiet cul de sac and hence please keep noise to a respectful level Near the Falkirk High station (3 minutes drive from the accommodation) there is a small licensed retail/convenience store, that carries a selection of everyday items such as newspapers, sweets, stationery, groceries, food and drinks. Lidl supermarket is 6 minutes drive from the accommodation.

    Cambusnethan is a desirable area on the outskirts of Wishaw. The apartment is situated in a private housing estate built in the 1980's by Wimpey and has great views to the rear, sitting 15 metres back from the street at the front. There is private parking, and a rear garden with plenty space to sit outside and relax or even eat al fresco (weather dependent of course).

You will wake up to the sight of wild deer, foxes, badgers and squirrels plus a vast array of wild birds.

The bedroom is opulent and rich with antique mahogany furniture creating a classic atmosphere. The lounge, with wood burning stove, is warm and inviting. Ideal for couples, holiday makers & professionals. Dog friendly.
    A zed bed can be provided, this will be placed in the bedroom; would suit parents traveling with one child. A starter pack will be provided which will include milk, bread, eggs, butter and orange juice. In the kitchenette unit you will find porridge, cereals, jams, spreads, tea/coffee & biscuits. Gluten free catered for, just let me know in advance. There is an under the counter sized fridge and a combination microwave/grill/oven if you wish to prepare a snack. There is also a kettle, toaster and a toastie maker. Please note that there is no kitchen in the suite.
    Our cottage backs on to The Five Sisters, iconic symbol of West Lothian’s industrial past. Originally slag heaps of spent shale, they are now legally protected and have returned to nature, where hares and wild orchids abound. The view from the top takes in land marks including Arthur’s Seat and the Forth Road bridges. There are several country side parks within easy driving distance including Almondell and Beecraigs. Bring your wellies! The beauty of West Calder is that it is centrally placed between the capital city of Edinburgh and the people’s capital, Glasgow. It is also within easy traveling distance of Stirling and Falkirk. Although West Calder is a small village it has excellent amenties; several restaurants, cafes, shops, pubs and supermarket. If you are looking to go slightly further afield I would highly recommend Mid Calder and Linlithgow.

    Ampherlaw Farmhouse's lovingly restored and converted barns, dating from the 19th century, now provide luxury self catering accommodation for 2 people, making it the ideal country retreat for a relaxing holiday or romantic escape to the countryside. The accommodation has been tastefully converted in keeping with its Listed Building status, with thick, Scottish sandstone walls and traditional wooden sash and case windows . The cottage comprises an enormous double bedroom with two armchairs by the woodburning stove within the bedroom, a big ensuite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, a huge dining room furnished with antiques and a fully equipped kitchen. The neighborhood is calm, residential and safe, there is parking available in the shared car park. Bathgate train station with direct trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow is only 8 min by bus and takes you to Edinburgh center in around 25 minutes Please be aware we have two medium sized dogs and two cats.

    A neutrally decorated 3 bed house with modern appliances. Ideal for business travelers, contractors working away from home, families with kids or groups of friends wanting to visit Scotland. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh are about 30 mins away by car or train. This well equipped home, for the internet age with super fast WiFi, Sky TV and Netflix viewed on a large screen SMART TV. All bedrooms have a USB charging socket for 2 devices at each bedside table for all the phones and tablet devices.
    A three bed house set over two floors with a large back garden which is mainly lawn with a slabbed patio area which has a picnic bench. Everyone sleeps in a proper bed, no setting up and putting away, an uncomfortable bed settee that blocks access to the space. The bedrooms are equipped with single divan beds which are topped with a quality matres, either built in wardrobes or standalone wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside tables. All the bedding and towels are supplied, 2 bath sheets and 2 hand towels for each person. Depending on the length of your stay, towels and bedding are changed about once a week on an agreed day. The property is fully doubled glazed with a combi boiler for all your heating and hot water needs. The kitchen has (I believe) every pot, pan, utensil, crockery and cutlery item needed for everyday cooking. Kids will need to be of an age they can manage the stairs no stair gates are provided.     Our studio is a spacious luxurious and comfortable space with lots of natural light. We have built it above our double garage. It is accessed from the side of the house via a set of stairs that leads to a south facing deck area for use by our guests only. This overlooks our garden and woodlands. It truly has a lovely feel to it all. A space to relax, to work, to sleep, to sunbathe or watch the snowfall. The large double sliding glass doors give the studio a feel of bringing the outside in.

Max 4 people at any time. The room is a large attic space and has steep steps pictured in photo leading up to it! A garden space can also be used with outdoor seating area & garden room. 20mins on train to Edinburgh & 40 mins to Glasgow. Semi rural setting with a main Cycle Path directly across the road for me

You will be close many of the old buildings used to film Outlander including Linlithgow Palace & Blackness Castle
    This is a ground floor apartment, with 2 bedrooms ideal for a couple or a family or people with mobility limitations. There is a kitchen with all the utensils necessary, a living room with dining room table and a shower room and toilet.
    The apartment is very close to Linlithgow High Street where everything is happening. There is an abundance of bars and shops and things to do, The apartment is set back a bit in a small quiet enclave between the old refurbished St. Mags distillery and with the Union canal. Tesco's is very close to the apartment if you need shopping, there is a quick way home through the car park.

    I've lived in the beautiful town of Linlithgow for 28 years. It's on the 'Outlander Trail' and is close to Edinburgh, Falkirk, Glasgow and Stirling. My house is a 5 minute walk to the train station and the High Street where you'll find Linlithgow Palace, the Loch, shops, restaurants, cafes, and tourist information. The John Muir Way is a mile away, the M9 motorway is close by and the airport is just a 20 minute drive. The house is uphill, bright and has lovely views of the town and countryside.
    This single room is light and fresh, and has been recently decorated. There is a single bed, a set of drawers, a bedside table and a mirrored wardrobe. The shared bathroom is opposite the bedroom. Bed linen, towels, wi-fi, internet and continental breakfast are included in the price.
    My house is in a very quiet residential area and has a wonderful view of Linlithgow Loch, the Palace and surrounding hills. Just down the road are the canal and towpath which connect Edinburgh and Glasgow. Only a few minutes' walk away are the train station, the High Street, the Loch, and Linlithgow Palace where Mary Queen of Scots was born. Local amenities include a tourist centre, three supermarkets and a variety of small shops, two pharmacies, a library, post office, various cafés, pubs and restaurants.

Beecraigs Country Park is a short distance away, and Muiravonside Country Park is also close by.     the old registry has been completely renovated to exacting standards all beds are hypnos orthopaedic it is a very welcoming spacious comfortable home located almost halfway between edinburgh and glasgow its disabled friendly in that it has ramp access and a wet floor (URL HIDDEN) has high ceilings and is close to lots of nearby shops takeaways restaurants , 100m from the railway station with direct lines into glasgow and edinburgh.We are a great location whether your working or holidaying
