More trails behind the owner's cabin lead to even more natural rock and water features.

Wake up to coffee on the back porch watching our Arabian horses. Multiple hiking trails are available in the nearby quaint town of Rugby and Big South Fork. Hike the famous Honey Creek loop trail 15 minutes away.

Ranger's Retreat cabin at Big South Fork

The Ranger's Retreat (RR) cabin by Big South Fork will give you all the privacy you want and still convenient to town for the essentials. All of this plus with one of the Southeasts' premier National Park area's in your backyard. The RR cabin is a genuine log cabin made of real white pine logs. It features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, living room and a loft. The RR cabin is great for couples, but the loft with 2 twin beds provides room for a total of 4. Dog friendly (sorry no cats).

A Little Closer to Heaven Primitive Tree house

This little tree house is primitive with no electricity and no water but has a bath house nearby. This is tent camping in a tree house. Located behind the historic R.M. Brooks Store, it is the perfect place to find peace and beauty . Perfect for hikers. Rest in the huge branches of this nearly 100 year old Oak Tree. A Queen bed awaits you for your restful nights sleep. Underneath you can picnic at the table or swing in the swing that hangs below. This is the perfect place to unplug.

Adena Carriage House Rugby: history+nature retreat

Step back in time in Historic Rugby, TN with modern comfort at The Carriage House at Historic Adena Cottage. Built in 1884 for Sarah Worthington Pomeroy Wellman and her husband Frederick, a tea merchant in Historic Rugby, this former barn has been beautifully restored into a cozy, artfully curated guesthouse. Cozy two bedroom cabin with unobstructed views of the mountains. On the back deck there is a hot tub and a gas grill. Near Big South Fork and Historic Rugby. 3 mile hike from the cabin to the river round-trip. Or drive to the trailhead and hike half a mile to the river. Come here to unwind and de-stress. Totally peaceful :-) My favorite time of year is winter at the cabin. Nothing like sitting in the hot tub and looking out over the frosty trees and mountains!

Deer Lodge Bed & Breakfast

This is a very private cottage located in the trees with a view of a beautiful private pond. You will have a large deck that faces the pond, private parking, complete kitchen facilities, washer and dryer, and a large bathroom. You won’t find a more peaceful & serene setting. The pond is stocked with 4 types of fish, so bring your gear. You can watch the hawks, ducks maybe even some deer. Everything you need is provided whether you stay a night or a week.

Cozy Guest House in Rugby

You will stay at our guest house with a full kitchen, gas fireplace, laundry and a cozy porch and a grill outside. The bedroom has a queen bed, and the living room comes with a pull-out couch. The place can host 3 adults or a family of 4 very comfortably. We are non-smoking and pet free. Please don’t pressure me to bring your dog. Come and experience the magic of our land by the beautiful White Oak Creek.
