BRAEBURN at The Appleton Retreat

The Appleton Retreat is a short scenic drive to Belfast, Camden and Rockland. Braeburn at The Appleton Retreat is down a 1/2 mile driveway, on 120 acres of private land, bordered by a 1,300 acre Nature Conservancy reserve. A 25 minute trail leads to a large secluded pond, perfect for a refreshing swim. Braeburn feels like a treehouse, with expansive windows, overlooking woods and wildlife. After a hike, grilling on the porch or dinner out, indulge in your private therapeutic year round hot tub.

Room B is a small (10’ x 10’) but cozy room with full size bed with luxury mattress and private bathroom (5’ x8’) with towel warmer & glass shower. The room includes a desk, TV, minifridge, microwave, coffee maker, dresser, reading chair & private entrance. In the summer we have bicycles to use on the rail trail and kayaks for the Kennebec River. Year round hot tub. Downtown is just a block away where there are numerous restaurants and pubs with live music. Hiking trails & waterfalls nearby.

The new (2021) loft apartment is clean, comfortable, with lots of amenities, including guest wifi and laundry. The neighborhood is quiet, wooded, historic. As a guest you’ll be in the midst of our organic gardens, orchards, and meadows, and can request a site tour. Nearby: Camden State Park, Laite Beach, and famous Aldermere Farm. Sit by the stream, listen to the loons or enjoy relaxing in the hot tub. If you want to kayak, you can do that too! Eagles regularly soar overhead. Queen size bed, love seat and room enough for a pack and play. A/C, full kitchen, Keurig, microwave, toaster, dishes. Wifi and cable. Roomy parking.
