Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". We are located in the Heritage Quarter of the City of Dunfermline, just steps from the historic Dunfermline Abbey & Palace ruins and a 35 minute journey to Edinburgh city centre. We are within walking distance to all amenities: bus or train stations, high street shops, cafes, restaurants, bars and grocery stores. The Tailor’s Loft is bright and airy, with high ceilings, large sash & case windows, and backing onto the stunning 70 acre Pittencrieff Park and Glen.

The Log Cabin is situated in 3 acres of garden, shared only with our own house. Guests are welcome to make use of the garden. The Cabin sleeps five people and we have a travel cot if required. There is one large bedroom with two kingsize and one single beds. The Cabin does not have TV or wifi, however it does have an excellent 4G signal. We welcome well behaved pets, up to a maximum of two small dogs or one large dog, even a cat. We ask guests who bring pets to vacuum before they leave.
