Cosy cottage has been fully refurbished in 2023 to a very high standard to give a first class experience to guests in the heart of the village, in a quiet location. The cottage is a few minutes walk from 2 great pub /restaurants, coffee shop and convenience store. Bus stop to Glasgow and neighbouring villages is also a few minutes. The location is great for Glasgow airport only 7 miles, loch Lomond is 20 miles away and the ferries on the coast are only 15 miles away that go to many islands.

Argyll Retreat is a cosy timber cabin located in the Argyll Forest Park and Loch Lomond and Trossachs Natiomal Park. It is owned and managed by myself. The lodge is layed out for a couple or solo travellers. Argyll is steeped in history and has miles of coastline, lochs, forests and mountains. The lodge is also a great place to relax. Enjoy. Please note that there are a number of stairs to access the property, so may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. On street parking.

The property is roughly a 15 minute walk from Milngavie train station/ transportation can be provided if required. Country environment but also a very accessible place as trains go directly to the centre of Glasgow and Edinburgh from here.A travel cot is available .

The apartment has one large bedroom with a very comfortable super king size bed and the lounge has a pull down double bed. Travel cot is available on request. The kitchen is fully fitted with washing machine, microwave, coffee machine etc. The shower room/ toilet has a large walk in shower. Superb location less than a 5 minute walk to Milngavie town centre, train station and the start of the West Highland Way. Milngavie has an array of shops, restaurants and bars.

My cottage is situated in the heart of the conservation village of Houston which boasts several good pubs and restaurants within a 2 minute walk. Only 10 minutes from Glasgow airport and 20 minutes to Glasgow city centre means it would suit both business persons or tourists alike. My place is ideal for those wishing to explore the Clyde coast and nearby islands of Bute, Cumbrae and Arran. In addition Loch Lomond is a mere thirty minutes drive away.
