Westside Cabin

Our place is just a few miles from the Fauntleroy/Vashon ferry terminal, and minutes from the town of Vashon. Tucked snuggly on the West side of the island, the cabin looks west over Colvos Passage. The cabin itself is essentially a spacious studio-- one large room with a loft, a small kitchen, and bathroom. A queen size bed is in the loft, and the couch comfortably sleeps one person. The bathroom has a large clawfoot soaking tub, and there is an outdoor shower. It is extremely cozy!

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. You may wake up to the sound of a rooster crowing as you steep a fresh cup of coffee before you head out on your adventure exploring all the Olympic Peninsula has to offer.

The Creamery

Nestled between the barn and the milking parlor is The Creamery; a relaxing spot to spend a few days far from the rigors of the city. Here we made Dinah's Cheese for years, and now you can enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your plush bed, warmed by the thick down comforter. The French Limousin cows may come up to your bedroom window, curious as to who is sharing the pastures this morning. The quiet will be startling, with little noise but coffee brewing in the kitchen.

Secluded Serenity Cottage

Your journey to serenity is a lovely 5-to-8-minute walk down a historic hillside to the secluded community of Sunrise Beach. Walking down the private driveway you may see a family of deer on your left when you pass the Historical Marker. As you walk past the houses and cabins on the waterfront, you might be reminded of Silverstein’s charming “Where the Sidewalk Ends.” The reward for your journey will be the treasure waiting for you at “the prettiest cottage on the beach.”

We are located across the from Banner Forest Heritage Park, a 636-acre wildlife preserve which included miles of biking and walking trails.
