Historic Georgian Flat with Community Garden

It's filled with light and spacious for a one bedroom apartment. It's filled with fun things that I have collected over the years, so it comes with bags of my personality! It's quiet - especially the bedroom which is located at the rear. I like cooking, so the kitchen is well-equipped. Bring your tunes - there is a nice Sony bluetooth speaker to connect with! Access all areas - I keep the cellar and a filing cabinet in the bedroom locked for my own bits and pieces though. On arrival, I prefer to meet my guests in person to get you settled and share my local recommendations that fit with your plans and timing. New Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and carefully protected from new development. It supports a lovely mix of residential property and boutique retailing, including tons of coffee shops, private galleries, restaurants, and interior design shops. Bus stop round the corner and tram stop 5 minutes away at St Andrews Square. 10 minutes walk to the main railway station, Edinburgh Castle and the very heart of Edinburgh. Taxi rank 5 minutes walk down Dundas Street and taxis usually available on the street too. Please note my TV works via the internet so you can view BBC iPlayer/Netflix/Amazon content only. The bed is a standard double i.e. 4 feet 6 inches wide and 6 feet 3 inches long (137 x 190 cm). The bed will be made up ready for your arrival including 4 feather pillows, a duvet and a warm throw. An allergy free pillow and a hot water bottle can be found in the chest of drawers. I supply two large towels, a hand towel, a dish towel and a bath mat for each booking.

The wonders of the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe are right on your doorstep, or, if you prefer, close the door and people watch from your bedroom or living room which look straight on to the Royal Mile. You really couldn't get a better position to enjoy the Castle, the Palace, Arthurs Seat or the wonders of the Old Town of Edinburgh. Entire property. I will be in the local area and always on hand if you have a question or an issue. Set in the heart of Old Town, the flat is steps away from the vibrant boutiques, craft shops, pubs, and restaurants that line the area’s quaint streets and alleyways. It’s an ideal stepping off point for visiting many museums and historic sites. This apartment is based on the Royal Mile where tour buses leave on a regular basis as do taxis and local buses. Walking is the name of the game in such a central location! Transport in from the Airport can be by bus or tram and both stops are a 5 minute walk up the hill to the flat.

The bathroom has an amazing large shower with underfloor heating, which extends into the living area, under the natural wooden floors. You will find a well equipped kitchen that has everything you need, should you decide to cook during your stay. You will have access to the entire property during your stay. I will be available via text, phone, or email. The property is in the beautiful and historic old town, minutes from the castle and an abundance of wonderful restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. Furthermore the property is only a short walk from the train station and rail links to the airport. The flat is minutes away from Waverley train station and tram links to the airport. This apartment is in a very central and safe location in Old Fishmarket by St Giles. 5 mins walk to top attractions such as the National Museum of Scotland, Festival Theatre, the Castle. Waverley Station is 10 minutes walk. The Meadows and to George Street and the Newtown beyond are easy to reach. Very suitable for sightseers, old and young. Not a party flat but my second home when working in Edinburgh and so it is not a hotel style offering but I am sure you will love it. New kitchen for 2025.
