Within easy reach are national parks, coastal and forest lookouts, walking and cycling trails, wineries, breweries and local produce. Originally built as a shack in the 1950s it now has a few creature comforts like a gas heater, gas hot water and gas stove as the settlement has no mains power. A small solar system provides lights for the evening, also runs the TV/DVD, can also charge laptops and keeps the large 450Lt fridge/freezer nice and cold.
