The Pearl of Whakatiwai. A completely restored Bed/kitchen/dining room with separate shower and toilet. This house was built in the 50's and so we have lovingly recreated the whole 50's vibe for your enjoyment. Right on the edge of the Firth of Thames you can lie in bed and see the views that go on forever. A great little kitchen with new oven and fridge, plus all the tools you need if you want a "foodie" get away. We do not have a TV, but great WiFi. Great fishing right on your doorstep.

Easy walking distance to Whitianga shops, trendy eateries, and the magical white sands of Buffalo Beach. Also visit iconic Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Your hostess, Dorothy sailed the world with husband Derek. I am now comfortably settled in our shore-side residence. Come and be at home here. As the canal-front is unfenced, I am sorry, we cannot accept children.

Close to all the popular beaches with great biking and tramping on your doorstep. Or just Immerse yourself in nature. Our season runs from the beginning of December to the end of March. It has amazing views , the ocean is literally at your doorstop, it's super quiet, the boat ramp is a few metres down the road, handy to great fishing spots - mussel farms are only a short boat ride, safe harbour for water activities - kayaks available free for your use, but life-jackets are not supplied and need to worn at all times.
