This beautiful newly built loft has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Inside, you’ll find a clean and cozy retreat that sleeps up to six. We are centrally located on MDI - close to ponds, lakes and the Atlantic, hiking in Acadia as well as near coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. This home is the perfect spot for soaking up all our island has to offer.

Fisherman's Nook & Schoodic Retreat

Upstairs apartment, interior & exterior stairs/ all private area. Open concept space with full kitchen. Living area: sofa with ottoman, recliner, rocker, smart TV, ceiling fan & window A/C. WiFi. Bathroom: shower, vanity, flush, washer/dryer, laundry supplies, iron, toiletries, towels, and blow dryer. Bedroom: One queen size bed, dresser, bedside tables, sound machine, closet, ceiling fan, A/C. Bedroom opens to a small private deck w/stairs to ground level. Four free lobsters w/ 3 day stay.

Hummingbird

Hummingbird sits about 50 feet from our house and about 150 feet from the shore of Joy Bay. Looking out the windows, you only see woods and water. There are no neighbors in sight. We have a dog who sees it as her duty to give everyone an enthusiastic greeting. The building is 12x16 and has a small bathroom and kitchenette. For cooking, there is an induction cooktop, a toaster oven, and pots and pans. The patio is 10’ by 16’ and has a table with 2 chairs, a gas grill, and an outdoor cooktop.

Kayaks are provided to explore island studded 462 acre Jones pond, a 10 minute walk down a trail. A 10 minute drives brings you to the less visited Schoodic section of Acadia NP, where a network of hiking and biking trails lace the coastal forests and dramatic rocky coast. Nearby Winter Harbor has shops and restaurants and even a ferry across the bay to Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island.
