Our Mountain Gem is nestled in walking distance to Lake Lure Marina, Morse Park, Lake Lure Beach front, restaurants and many activities. The house is great for gathering with family and friends, or quiet times away. The floor plan is open and spacious. Each floor has its own living area, kitchen and bathroom, with ample sleeping on either level. Roaring Fork Chalet Long Range Views Mt Mitchell

The chalet is a warm and comfy place to relax, cool off, hike/bike a trail or two, enjoy long-range views(elevation is 3,383 feet - Mt Mitchell is 6,683), listen to some good music, sip your favorite drink, and rejuvenate your soul. Roaring Fork Chalet has paved roads that are all well-maintained. The mountain roads are curvy, and the subdivision is steep in parts. No four-wheel drive is needed to get to the chalet except in the winter months. Dog accepted with/ prior approval (fee applies).

The Snookmore is perfectly located just 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Asheville. Just hop on the Parkway and have the Appalachian wilderness at your beck and call or mosey on down to the hottest town the South has to offer. Its only neighbors are ourselves and our other rental house, the Snookery. Note on Helene: we were very luck in Snookville with a lot of downed trees, but nothing structural. There are still outages, but the generators keep the power on.

Take a walk on our trails, watch horses graze from the comfort of your balcony patio, feed our minidonkeys, Jameson and Maybelline, or meet our new baby calf and kittens! Reconnect in the movie theatre/game room, play games beside the wood burning fireplace, or relax in the 6 person hot tub. Let us set up a campfire with boujee s’mores or an outdoor movie.
