Welcome to The Stable - a serene solo respite, artist’s retreat or unique getaway for 1 to 6 registered guests. Close to I-85 & I-40, Duke, NCCU and the downtown Durham scene. Quaint & artsy Hillsborough, funky & fun Chapel Hill/UNC and Carrboro are a short drive. Eno River State Park, hiking & biking trails, and the Mountains to Sea Trail are 2.5 miles away. Full of unexpected details, including an outside labyrinth, The Stable is a comfortable sanctuary for all who want to settle in and smile.

Lakefront Rustic Cabin

Anchored in the cool shade of Beech and Oak trees, 19 acres and hundreds of feet of lake shore for you to explore. The lake and surrounding forest are home to a wide variety of wildlife, experience for yourself the secret they have found. Truly unwind in this 2 bed 1 bath right on the water's edge. The Lincoln Log cabin is rustic, but made to be comfortable. You'll be surprised at the remoteness and beauty and yet, near Asheboro, Seagrove, Uwharrie National Forest, NC Zoo, Pisgah Covered Br.

Peach's Paradise Eco-Cabin & Bath In The City!

We love couples, solo adventurers, & furry friends who want one level beyond tent camping. Please understand there is very solar power lights. The Eco-Cabin is a rustic, 2-story hand built cabin in town. You'll enjoy the cabin, firepit, firewood, swing chairs, king size bed, linens, and a bathhouse with private toilet, sink and shower. We do allow pets for a 15$ pet fee per pet. There is parking and roaming rights to the surrounding 23.8 acres. We are convenient to the NC Zoo and Seagrove.

Artist's Studio

Originally the studio of a visual artist (long ago garden illustrator for The New York Times), this petite building is completely private. Firm queen bed. Mix of antiques and artisanal built-ins. Radiant heat. AC. Mini fridge and microwave, electric kettle, Chemex coffee maker and French Press, excellent wifi. Unique space in one of the best country neighborhoods around. 6.5 miles to Hillsborough healthy grocery store, 8 to Carrboro/Chapel Hill, 18 to Durham. Serene pond and grounds.

Waterfront home on MAYO LAKE. 2 Bd, 1.5 bath fully furnished . Wi-fi, Smart TVs, Alexa, frig, stove washer/dryer, microwave. Queen-size bed, sleeper sofa and bunk bed. Wrap around porch w/ rocking chairs, swing and 2 picnic tables. Large yard for playing, just feet away from the water, and fire pit. Firewood not provided. Our guesthouse is a large pool cabana with kitchenette & queen bed overlooking a 4.5-acre pond surrounded by uninterrupted woodland. You are welcome to canoe, fish, walk our trails, play disc golf, or just enjoy the peaceful view. Split Rock is ideal for couples and solo travelers.
