Huge, private, entertainment area downstairs with BBQ pit/grill and smoker, seating, and fire pit. Private fishing pond with motorless boat and fish cleaning station!

The Barn - Downstairs

Two miles from the interstate, The Barn is on three acres of peaceful private property. As you pull on to our road The Barn is to the left of our home. Parking signs are clearly marked. The Barn - Downstairs is a 600 square foot efficiency apartment with a comfortable king size bed, a kitchenette, a den area with a queen size sofa sleeper, a bathroom with a shower and a 55” TV that swivels. Amenities include a patio, a charcoal grill, a fire pit, a pond for fishing, and a nature trail.

Frog House at Alligator Bayou

Come relax, fish, paddle, bird watch and find some peace and quiet in the Frog House on Alligator Bayou! Spend the evenings rocking on the porch or talking around the fire pit. The Frog House is a comfortable and updated two bedroom house located at the intersection of Bayou Manchac and Alligator Bayou. Come for the weekend or spend the month exploring the historic waterways and wilds of south Louisiana. On site use of canoes and or kayaks is included with each booking, waiver required.

The home has a fully stocked kitchen, WiFi, washing machine and dryer. The outdoor patio includes seating for four with an outdoor smart tv.

The BREC Bluebonnet swamp is steps out of the front door with great walking trails.

The Yellow Cottage on the River (w/ Dock Access!)

Our quaint yellow cottage sits on a quiet street where you have plenty of space to hear the cicadas and breathe in the Louisiana air. We're situated directly on the Amite River and this cottage is perfect for anyone who loves to fish! We provide a place to dock your boat, and can even recommend the best routes along the river that we often take ourselves. Please note that we do not allow pets at the cottage so get your fur babies a sitter and come on down.

The Blue Heron Guest House-6 acres on the bayou.

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Located on Bayou Manchac on a gated 6 acre estate. The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat. Bayou Manchac connects to the Amite River nearby. We can’t wait to share our paradise with you!

Close to fine dining or fast food. The Rustic cottage is in the back of our property. It has a privacy fence, but is not completely fenced. Nice covered deck with large TV and carport
