The Shingle Gully Cottage is located on over 40 acres of privately-owned land bordering Sam’s Point Preserve. The cottage is located on the outskirts of Ellenville NY. The town is situated at the base of the rolling Catskills within the Shawangunk valley. Within the cottage, there is a pellet stove that will be lit on chilly nights upon request. Connect with friends and family while sipping coffee on the porch and watching for deer, wild turkeys or humming birds. Share some of the fruits of our garden and cook in the fully equipped kitchen or grill on the porch after hiking, touring or just hanging out in hammock. Play air hockey in the attic or games or do a puzzle. Later, warm up by the wood stove, with a glass of wine or a book, get the chill out in the hot tub and see the stars or roast s'mores in the fire pit.

Sit at a quaint breakfast table in this sun-filled room admiring the beautiful patio, grainy wood-plank floors, and a country decor touches. Walk outside to enjoy the free ranging chickens as you gaze at the rustic grounds of this enchanting stone-built home dating from 1772. The suite has its our private entrance, bathroom and fireplace all stocked with plenty of firewood for your stay. Fireplace can be used November-March only unless temperatures are under 40 degrees.

Retreat to a beautiful cabin and get lost on two wooded acres. Reconnect with nature in your own way - hike around nearby Lake Minnewaska, or another of the dozens of incredible trails in the area. Then cook a meal in our well-equipped kitchen or on the grill, and enjoy it on the patio overlooking the property.
