The Stone House

The Stone House is set in 24 acres of natural Tasmanian bush in the Arthur Pieman Reserve. This is in the pristine Tarkine Wilderness area. The Stone House is made of stone, beautiful timber and earth rammed walls. We have made a rough track around our block, please explore. The grasslands are home to Bennetts Wallabies, pademelons, tassie devils, wombats, quolls and possums as well as the magnificent wedge tailed and sea Eagles. The coast is wild and untamed and ready to be explored.

Located on the South Arthur River Touring Route just 10 mins from the Arthur River and 5 mins from the start of the Tarkine forest. A private cottage with abundant grounds and resident wildlife this is Tarkinegrove . Bird enthusiasts, photographers and artists will love Tarkinegrove. See the Platypus at dusk during season. Dozens of birds, Spotted Tail Quoll, Pademelons, & Eastern Barred Bandicoot do visit, again depending on the depending on the season.

Abbey’s Cottage is a spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home in the heart of Stanley. Features include 2 lounge rooms, a well-equipped kitchen with sea views, original deep bath, and cosy wood heating. Upstairs has a queen room, double room, and bathroom. Downstairs has a queen room, twin room, second bathroom, and laundry. Just a short walk to cafes, shops, beach, and penguins.
