The location is perfect, with added privacy and plentiful parking. Rising up above the treetops, the Yurt invites you to relax on its open deck with a mountain view. The Yurt features a firepit area, where you can often spot wildlife. To top your day - take in peaceful sounds of nature and get into a sauna for a true mountain experience.

Come and visit where rustic meets cozy, and plenty of desirable amenities will make you feel right at home at this 2-bed, 2-bath vacation rental cabin located between Boone and Blowing Rock. Spend the day at Appalachian Ski Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway, or explore the Appalachian State University campus. Later, sit in one of the rocking chairs while the grill master tends the grill and cap off the evening around the fire pit.

The Cottage at Historic Sutherland Manor est. 1807

(Please note the siding is being redone on the farmhouse in front of the cottage so there will be construction noise at times) This farm cottage is located on a historic 40 acre farmstead behind a beautiful farmhouse (which is under renovation) with views of The Peak, Ashe County’s highest mountain. We are bordering Elk Knob State Park and a 10 minute drive to the park entrance. The farm is located in the historic Sutherland valley district and was built in 1807 by Thomas Sutherland.

Separated from our house by a large breezeway, with private entrance and no shared spaces. 25 mins to App Ski Mnt, 40 to Sugar, 60 to Beech.
