This charming villa, situated in the heart of Wainui, is full of character. With panoramic views overlooking Akaroa Harbour and the surrounding hills, this is a superb spot to relax and unwind. This spacious family home has 4 (+1) bedrooms, a kitchen/living room with a large log burner, and another living/dining room with an open fire, both opening onto the veranda. With easy access to coastal walking tracks, 500m walk to the beach, 5 mins from Lyttelton & 20 mins to Christchurch central this space is the perfect getaway spot. We have created the holiday space we always search for, come and enjoy it Summer or Winter!

Situated on the Inland scenic route [High way 72] and only a short drive to Mount Hutt ski field and the Ashburton Lakes /Lord of the Rings country.For a longer drive Geraldine is only 30 minutes away and the Gateway to the beautiful Southern Lakes . The cottage accomodation is totally private set in a beautiful garden setting in the grounds of the historic school house built in 1876. 20 minutes to Methven and 1 hour to Christchurch international Airport. Not suitable for infants/children.

Darfield: Homebush School Cottage

Homebush Cottage is part of the 130 year old former Homebush School, located on the Southern Scenic Route, 8kms from Darfield township and close to popular Skifields, Lakes and amazing tourist destinations, thus making us the perfect stopover. The cottage is set on 3 acres including beautiful rambling gardens and tennis court. The Cottage is super comfy and suitable for a couple. We provide a self catering continental breakfast including free range eggs from Brown Shavers !!!

The farm is a small block and home to cows, calves, a few pigs, a couple of dogs, two cats and your friendly hosts Paul and Dale. As an added bonus - Paul and Dale love showing guests around their farm! The apartment has great Wifi and a washing machine for your laundry
