The Hermits’ Hideaway is a unique, rustic cabin hidden away in the hills just north of Levin. Self contained & off grid, this is the perfect place to get away from the hustle & bustle of daily life. There is nothing to do here but relax, kick back & de-stress. Enjoy waking up to the sound of the birds & the wind in the trees. Have a glass of wine on the deck while watching the sun set. There is also a gallery on site, showcasing a range of quality hand crafted items that is open by appointment.

Beach Cabin - Kowhai Landing

Summer or winter, sunny Kowhai Landing is the perfect couples retreat. Romantic, private, and oh-so-close to the beach - you'll leave this place rejuvenated and relaxed. A classic Kiwi cabin in a town that still feels like the beach places of old, this small but practical layout has a kitchenette and ensuite. In addition, there is a large private BBQ deck, hot outdoor shower, and bath. With no wifi or TV, this is a place to get away from it all. Powered Caravan site by appointment only.

The Fifth Room

Easy walk to Jackson St shops, cafés and restaurants. Petone Beach and Railway Station within a 10min walk. Percy's reserve and walking tracks close by. Wellington city a 10 min drive (off peak). The InterIslander Ferry is a less than ten minute drive off peak. Perfect to catch an early morning Ferry, or late afternoon disembark. Supermarkets, specialty stores, cinema and pharmacies. Petone pretty much has it all including a Kmart which is quite literally at the end of the street.

Flat Hills Family Pod 2

Set in the grounds of Flat Hills Cafe in the scenic Rangitikei Valley. This Pod can accomodate up to 4 people. We have a shower & toilet block as well as a large campers lounge with 50inch tv, book and toy corner and kitchen. Each Pod has its own TV, fridge plus tea & coffee making facilities. There is a BBQ to use on those finer evenings & free Wifi in the cafe grounds. For families we have a play area with bouncy castle, farm animals & even a maze!! **CAFE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS**

Parangarehu - Ahi Kā

We’ve named the first pourewa ‘Ahi Kā’ (people of the land keeping the fires burning) because the deeper purpose of Parangarehu lies in reconnecting the next generation with their whenua (land) by working on it through either conservation, tourism, and hospitality so, it’s not just a business it's a legacy project for our whānau.” Parangarehu is a special place, and we’ve always felt deeply connected to its mōuri (lifeforce). We’re excited for others to experience it too.”

Rustic Woodman's cottage

Basic and rustic with a twist of awesome, just 900m from Carterton central. Built in 2019 this cosy, insulated and double glazed cottage has a queen bed and a small veranda to relax on. Basic facilities include a composting toilet and solar lighting. There is no electricity or cooking facilities. Full bathroom available on request. Situated on 4.5 acres, park at the main house and walk 100m. Enjoy the views east, wander through the developing gardens or head out to explore.

Rustic Comforts Cabin Bed & Breakfast

Located only 16km from Levin and 32 km from Palmerston North. A cozy spacious beautifully furnished cabin that has everything you need. Whether you are visiting friends, family or just on business this is the perfect place to rest. The Cabin has a large fully equipped kitchen, separate bathroom and open planned living with a King Size bed and two separate bedrooms providing privacy. Our property boasts a large open outside area where you are welcome to relax in.

George's Hideout in Carterton

Chill out in the garden under the fruit trees during the day and watch the stars of the Wairarapa dark sky at night. All the other attractions of Wairarapa food and wine are close by. Only a 5 minute stroll to the Carterton main street, a 10 minute drive to Greytown, 15 to Gladstone and 20 to Martinborourgh vineyards and restaurants. Pick fruit from the trees when in season; cherries, plums, apples, pears and quince. We supply some breakfast ingredients.

The Hut

The hut is a beautifully crafted off the grid cabin located located on a sheep and beef farm, Daisybank, just minutes out of Martinborough . Open the doors right up on a nice day and enjoy the fresh air or cozy up with a blanket on the couch in front of the fire when the weather makes you want to bunker down. The outdoor bath is the icing on the cake to allow you to take in the views while relaxing in the tub
