Located near Hwy 22 in Mill City (30 miles from I-5 & Salem) The cabin was home to the Charlie Stewart Family in 1949. Updated in 2022. It comfortably fits 2 adults & 1 child. Sofa bed is NOT recommended for adults. New King Bed. Private, the whole place is yours! No shared walls; our home is behind the cabin. Great for travellers, kayakers, and campers. Please note that access to the river is less than three minutes down the road to the right/left of the cabin. This home features a fantastic front porch to drink your coffee on and a large backyard! Both Silver Falls State Park and Abiqua Falls are under 20mi from this location and worth the trip.

We are located 2 miles from the entrance to the Mary's Peak recreation area, the highest spot in the coast range. During winter, there is usually access to snow, only a 15 minute drive from our cabin to the top of Mary's Peak. Alsea Falls is a 25 minute drive. The coastal town of Waldport is a 45 minute drive, Oregon State University is a 20 minute drive away, and University of Oregon is 1 hour south of us. Cabin is on our private property where we live as well.

Perfect for couples or families, amenities include modern convenience (dishwasher, wifi, roku) as well as the classics: sticks and stars and trails and trees.

It's the perfect place to get out of the city and disconnect in nature, or to use as your base for all the PNW adventures. It's a quick 30 min drive to Mount hood or the entrance to the Colombia Gorge, and only 45 min from PDX Airport.
