This seems to be a bit more of an 'up class' beach with a slightly fancier restaurant and sunbeds and beach umbrella's.

If you enjoy walking/hiking this is a must! The trail connects Sao Rafael beach in the east with Galé beach in the west, a 2-3 hrs walk on top of the cliffs, with spectacular views over the Atlantic ocean! There are several other beaches & beach bars/restaurants in between, perfect for a pit stop or to get on/off the trail.

Large sandy beach, framed by limestone cliffs, hot shades of colour. São Rafael Beach is neither one of the most famous nor one of the largest of the Algarve, but it is one of the most special. It is paradigmatic of the Algarvian coast and has already been named the best beach of Portugal and the fourth best of Europe.
