The Calgary Zoo is a world class quality zoo built on the Bow River and part of it is on an island. The zoo is open year round and features zoo lights at Christmas time. Be sure to check out the dinosaur park as well!
About a 35 minute drive away. It has seasonal activities so check out their website to see what is going on. It is a great place for all ages.
A great place to visit year round supporting world wide conservation efforts. We love Zoolights in the winter and exploring the Canadian Wilds during the warmer months. The Pandas, Gorillas, and open Lemur exhibit are our favourites! The volunteers are also very knowledgeable.
