Beautiful, scenic trails will leave you feeling transported back in time, before the west was settled. See the large herd of bison residing on the park lands. Park is open 24/7, so stop by to star gaze, as well.

About a thirty minute drive away, but very beautiful. It is the only national park that has a prairie eco-system.

The preserve has nearly 11,000 acres to be explored. Take a bus tour, tour the historic buildings, go on a hike, or use our cell phone tour. Windmill Pasture (and sometimes West Traps Pasture) is home to the preserve's bison herd.
