The own house is part of a historical and well preserved "Klyngetun" - or clusterfarm, a traditional western Norwegian farm settlement with multiple individual farms located close together. The farm site is sheltered on a steep and sunny mountainside (Ørnevegen) approx. 4 km. from the center of Geiranger and offers a magnificent view of the UNESCO World Heritage Geirangerfjord with the surrounding mountain area.

Hellesylt lies at the Geiranger fjord, and has great opportunities for activities on both the fjord, the amazing mountains surrounding the farm, fishing, and other outdoor activities! The hosts are more than happy to help with guides for the area. There will also be tourist brochures in the house upon arrival. 2 hrs drive from Hellesylt lies the city Aalesund, named Norways finest city.

We have renovated most rooms in recent years, while respecting the history of past generations who have lived in our family house. The house is very spacious and has a large garden, where we have garden furniture and a small barbecue. The location is perfect, a five minute drive from Hellesylt and near LOTS of attractions.

Velkomen til Lensmannsstova, eit historisk tømmerhus frå 1895. Lensmannsstova ligg på Hellesylt, midt i dei vakre Sunnmørsalpane. Her kombinerast historisk sjarm med moderne komfort, og huset passar perfekt for både par, familiar og større grupper som vil oppleve naturen på Sunnmøre. Lensmannsstova har fem soverom, med plass til opp til 10 gjestar. Huset vert også brukt til selskapslokaler og konsertar.

Cosy place with room for up to 10 persons, but also great for a couple. Close to the main roads, but feels like thousands miles away from civilization. It is only ten minutes from Hellesylt where you have restaurants and grocery. From Hellesylt can you take the ferry to the famous fjord: Geirangerfjord a world heritage site.A great place to stay if you like to haik (or skiing) in the mountains.
