Situated on a small working farm eight miles from Junction 49 at the western end of the M4. Enjoy the seclusion of the farm and walking opportunities in the area as well as the local attractions in East Carmarthenshire of castles, stately homes, gardens, local villages and towns. Further afield are the beaches and beauty spots of Swansea, the Gower and Pembrokeshire.

Outstanding food and drink is within strolling distance at Wright's Food Emporium and The Emlyn Arms in Llanarthney village. Step aboard The Toad, a beautifully restored 1921 GWR brake van (AKA Toad Wagon), once a vital part of post-war goods trains. Weighing 20 tons and brimming with original rustic features, this historic wagon offers characterful self-catering accommodation with a touch of luxury. Enjoy your own private en-suite with hot shower, wood-fired hot tub, and peaceful soundtrack of birdsong and country life. The Toad makes a fantastic all-year-round base to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond.

The Skomer Hut with hot tub 2 miles from the beach

Our Skomer Hut is a cosy cabin that has been built for those who want to reconnect with nature. Set in a small garden with its own private woodfired hot tub, the cabin sits peacefully on a working farm just 2 miles from Newgale beach. The Skomer Hut has its own private composting toilet and shower in a separate block less than 10m away. There is a small kitchenette inside the hut with running water. You can walk to the local beach from the hut, it takes about 40 minutes via a bridleway.

Hickin’s Hut offers our guests a secluded and tranquil location, set within a 43 acre smallholding located only 3 miles from Cardigan. Sited within its own meadow, on the edge of a small wood adjacent to a lake where you will see much wildlife. The hut has a double bed and an en suite shower room/toilet with a power shower. It also enjoys glorious views of the surrounding Welsh countryside and Preseli Hills from the south facing decking with a private tub and firepit. Pets also welcome.
