The Red Train Carriage

The Red Train Carriage is a special place to stay next to the train tracks of The Swanage Railway. We believe it was built in about 1858 for GER as a 2nd class passenger carriage. It was just a shell when we got it, with it's original walls, doors, ceiling and floor, but the seating had been removed. There was only a few clues about its history in some of the doors and windows. We have saved as much of the original carriage as possible whilst making it a comfortable place to stay for a week.

1960s Railway Carriage in a country station

Travel in time and reconnect with nature at this unforgettable train carriage set in an old country railway station in rural Herefordshire, UK. True to the decade of when the carriage was built, it is comfortably furnished with mid-century pieces, 1960’s styled sofas, and with all modern facilities. Madgeon’s view railway carriage

Madgeon’s view is a unique and lovingly restored railway carriage on our regenerative farm in the Blackdown hills AONB. Formerly part of the Madgeon estate in the 1800s, this secluded spot gives you exclusive, sole use to relax and enjoy the view with your partner and 4 legged friends. There is easy access from the M5 and A303, providing a great base to explore the Blackdowns, Somerset countryside and attractions and the beautiful Jurassic coast.

Railway Wagon and Swimming Pool

We offer a restful, rustic, rural retreat. Our 3 sites are situated either side of a small woodland on our farm and in a third corner of the field. The Cabin plus 2 small bedrooms offer beds for 8. Our shepherds hut and Railway Wagon both offer a kingsize bed. Perfect for groups to book together making the site exclusive. The indoor heated swimming pool is a hugely popular attraction which guests can use exclusively during their visit.
