Bookbinders's Retreat

Located in Oamaru, this beautifully restored, cosy and warm Cabin is the perfect place to base yourself at while you explore the Otago region. Bookbinder's Retreat is small self-contained studio, situated adjacent to the main house. Whilst in the town, the property has a rural outlook over the Public Gardens, and a secluded feel. I have enjoyed creating the space on a small budget over a long time. Travellers seem to appreciate the craftsman like quirkiness of the space which reflects the town.

Pacific View Farm Bach

This is essentially a new home with modern facilities situated in a private rustic farm setting. We can offer country living with rural and sea views plus an opportunity to see a sunrise over the sea. A leisurely twenty minute walk to the Victorian precinct and the Oamaru Central Business District. Less than a five minute walk to view the Yellow Eyed Penguins. The hosts own the surrounding farm land. From the deck guests may have the opportunity to view farm animals and sea views.

The Villa

Semi detached villa. Within walking distance from town. 15mins walk or 3mins drive to Scotts Bar and Restaurants. Lovely older house. Kept in the older style of furnishings but comfortable and warm. There is a play ground which is at the school a couple of hundred yards away. Also a German Café and Vegan Cafe across the road. A free standing fire and heat pump for warmth. The whole house is yours 3 Bedrooms, open lounge, dinning room and Kitchen. Coffee and tea are provided.

The Moorings

The Moorings is a special place to stay in Oamaru. You will never tire of the view over the harbour. The home itself is immaculate and stylishly renovated. The beds and linen are excellent quality. The toilet is separate from the bathroom. The walk down the path to the house is well worth it. The home is close to the Penguin Colony, the old part of town and Scott's Brewery. Unfortunately, the house is not child-friendly. We are unable to take bookings which include young children.

Enjoy the house by yourself,free on street parking, 3 mins walking distance to new world, takeaway shop and etc,3 mins drive to Harbour and old town,5 mins to see yellow eyes penguin. 3 beds available,1 Queen and 2 single plus one sofa bed in the living room. Summer bonus-lavender in the garden. Smart tv(included prime video),whiteware,jug,toaster,microwave are available included coffee,tea,sugar, towels and shampoo.

Cape Wanbrow Cottage

This is an entire apartment with views to the Ocean. It is cosy and quiet and only 5 minutes from Oamaru but set in a beautiful rural environment. A new kitchen, a cosy loungeroom and private courtyard with barbeque and separate entrance. Tea, coffee, milk and basic supplies in the pantry, homemade bread and a sample of our own honey . Breakfast cereals provided . You will love it. A pleasant garden and views top it all off....while being handy to town.

Our cottage is the closest Airbnb to the blue penguin colony! You will love the sea views & the 2 minute walk to the Victorian Precinct, Harbour, playground, shops & cafes. We have 2 spacious bedrooms with comfortable king beds & fresh white linen. There is new fully equipped kitchen, free high speed WIFI & free parking outside the house. Our house is a gorgeous cottage with fresh, modern decor & everything you need for your stay in Oamaru.

Cosy, peaceful, modern studio on the southern town boundary. The feel of the countryside with a conveniently central location. North-west facing deck with beautiful elevated views. Prime dark sky location for stargazing. Less than 5 minutes drive to: Oamaru CBD, old town, lookout, mountain biking and walking tracks, Steampunk attractions, penguin colony, harbour, supermarkets, and restaurants. Golf course and beach within walking distance.

Buckley’s Retreat

We offer this unique tiny home with fantastic Ocean views. You can wake to the sunrise and watch the sunset at night all from your bed. We offer continental breakfast. Which includes eggs if the hens are laying. Outdoor spa, Complementary snacks and beverages. You may also bring your dog. 5mins drive to the centre of town. But have restaurants and grocery shops near by. Off street parking also. Just on the town boundary with a rural feel.
