Modern Farmhouse near Shenandoah Nat'l Park + Lake

Enjoy our secluded 1850s solid brick farmhouse. Completely renovated with modern conveniences, including central AC & super fast, Starlink internet. 5 miles from Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns. A short walk to Lake Arrowhead. We also own the downtown cafe, Broad Porch Coffee, so are local and can help if you ever need anything. We are family friendly and love dogs, no pet fee. Serenity by the Stream

Cabin in the Shenandoah Mountain surrounded by National Forest on 3 sides. Inside cozy atmosphere with warm lighting and local landscape art throughout. Bright and cheery in the bedrooms best suited for 2-4 adults or family with children. Wonderful sound of the river throughout the property. Step outside to hundreds of miles of biking and hiking trails, and stocked lakes and streams. Well maintained paved state road to cabin driveway. The house is 20 minutes West of Harrisonburg VA and JMU.

John Pope Cabin Browntown Va. We now have Starlink

Welcome to John Pope Cabin Nestled in foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, John Pope Cabin overlooks an open field where hawks hunt, bears sometimes stroll, and our neighbors’ horses peer over the fence. Feel free to pet them but don’t feed them! Built in 1865 by a Confederate soldier returning from the Civil War birthed and raised 11 children here. The cabin remains rustic, comfortable, and full of character. Ahh…the porch. Relax in the swing, watch the fields change with the light.

Approx. 12 miles from CHO airport, 20 min from Blue ridge Parkway, 10 min. to Standardsville and 20 miles to Charlottesville.

The Cottage

Need some time to refresh? Spending time in the foothills of the Skyline Drive at our cozy cottage may be for you. Well behaved dogs are welcome but not on furniture. The driveway is long and home is very secluded. Winter access will be subject to weather conditions. Driveway does not get plowed and gets rutty during rainy periods. Cell service is spotty on Browntown road. The cottage has a landline and wifi. Use your wifi calling feature for cell phone use. More info under photos.

Peaceful Secluded Old Rag Retreat

The spacious one bedroom yurt is located high on a forested hillside in the middle of 15+ acres. Come enjoy a natural and serene getaway with all the comforts of home- a full kitchen (ie, all utensils, setting for four), a bathroom with shower and laundry, a queen bedroom, and a queen foldout sofa in the living room by the wood burning stove. The windows roll up from the outside and have permanent screens inside. There is also a BBQ grill, a separate firepit, and WiFi via satellite.
