Everything Else

Park at the Valley of the rocks near Lynton, walk to Lynmouth (if don't like heights, think twice)! The walk is stunning. In Lynmouth have fish n chips on sea wall. Then bravely walk back up to Lynton and round to Valley of the rocks or take the fantastic train back up the hill.

At low tide this beach is a real gem, fantastic coastal walks, hidden bays, great for kayaking and rock pooling. Talk to us about the hidden bay.

Beautiful beach, consistent breaks for surfers all year round, National Trust car park called Baggy Point on far side of beach. We suggest Down End car park, Saunton side. Good rock pools at low tide. Only dog friendly out of season.

During the summer this tiny fine stoned beach is alive with nightly curry served from the hut on the beach. Check out face book. Really sheltered beach popular with locals out of season.

Park up, pick up a huge cake or pasty from Johns Deli and enjoy the views. This is a great place to cycle to from us (around 17 K) or hire bikes from Barnstaple (Tarka Cycles hire) for totally flat and easy cycle of 6 K along the Tarka Traail.

No facilities here, just a carpark. Great for a dog walk or a sunset barbecue on the beach at high tide. Not ideal for swimming as Crow is at the end of the estuary. Perfect for a fire and marshmallows and some dune jumping!

Probably the most popular beach in North Devon. Park in the main car park in town which is right on the beach or we suggest heading to Marine Drive Car Park in order to get away from the crowds. You will have to walk down through the dunes to the beach, but its worth it. Bring a barbi, stay and watch the sun go down. Great surf. We love this place. The Porthole cafe on Marine Drive car park does gorgeous food and cakes.

Our most favourite beach of all. You can get to Putsborough via the very end of Marine Drive car park in Woolacombe and the car park is cheaper. Or use Putsborugh Beach Car Park. Which also has beautiful views, shop, loo etc.

Busy harbour, great restaurants line Fore Street just away from the Harbour. We love a trip to Ilfracombe to walk the coast path, explore the hidden bays, have some fish n chips sitting on the harbour wall.
