Great place for diner style breakfast. This tiny restaurant has been voted best breakfast place in Leelanau county several years in a row. The chef/owner makes all their bread. They have good sandwiches and pizza as well. No delivery or liquor license. Closed on Mondays. This restaurant is only a four miles from the yurt so for a fast dinner if you've been our and about all day it's a good place to order a pizza and bring it back to your cozy hide away.

It's a cozy atmosphere that has celtic music every Thursday, trivia on Wednesday and live music throughout most of the summer. The Chutney burger has been named best burger in Michigan on several occasions. Of course if you have a hankering for single malt, this is the place to go.

Voted best summer vacation spot in North America and featured on Good Morning America. The park encompasses miles of pristine beaches, hiking trails and interesting sights. During the summer months there is Glen Haven, which was once home to a small village that housed a cannery, and a launch for lumber from the peninsula. It is now part of the park which features a blacksmith shop, a boat museum and the Life Saving Station. To enjoy all of the special events the Park has to offer go to the Park Headquarters in Empire.

Best hot dogs, brats and jerky in the county and beyond! Mike, the owner learned sausage making from an elderly gentleman of polish decent. The market is small with limited groceries but everything you need for a hot dog or brat can be found there.
