My favourite beach to hang out at in Sydney. Neilsen is a harbour beach that is more secluded and out of the way so it away from most of the crowds and is surrounded by bushland on either side.
Because Neilsen Park is on the harbour it's best to avoid it for a couple of days after heavy rain.

The Bondi to Bronte is a must for anyone visiting Sydney. It's a pretty mild walk with a few stairs - you can walk the whole way from Coogee to Bondi if you're up for a bigger walk. Take your swimmers and a towel and enjoy. I prefer to swim at the north end of the beach (the left hand side if you're standing on the sand facing the ocean) as there's less tourists and the water is calmer. Don't forget to swim between the flags!
