I recommend this place for the beer garden tucked away at the back. I believe it is the best beer garden in Kingston, and it's amazing how many of the locals don't know about it! It is a lovely spot to share some drinks with friends. It is a German restaurant with lots of schnitzel.

This bakery has a full restaurant attached and even a patio out back for the sunny days. It's a great place to come for brunch, or some tasty treats to have as you walk around downtown.

If seafood is your jam, then head to Dianne's. They have some excellent chefs who will deliver a tasty meal every time. You can sit at the bar, and chat with the friendly bar staff who can recommend personal twists on cocktail classics, or even enjoy the sunshine on the patio.

Sit on their patio on the water and watch the sun go down, or enjoy a fresh breeze while having a meal or some drinks. It is a lovely spot right beside the ferry terminal. The ferry comes once every hour and is free to use.

Wander by the lift locks, and if a boat is passing through you can even ask the attendant if you can help spin the wheels to open the gates. If you continue down then you arrive at some hiking trails and a rock climbing area. **Note that the rock climbing is top rope that you must set up yourself - for experienced climbers only**
