These folks make some pretty interesting donuts (like Maple-apple-bacon, one of the most popular combinations). It's a lovely neighborhood spot, and we thoroughly enjoy sitting on their patio and sipping on lattes when the weather is nice.

Wise Sons make the best bagels in town! One of our favorite snacks is the open-faced smoked salmon on an everything bagel with cream cheese.

Great for any meal, but our personal favorite time to eat here is for brunch. High ceilings, lots of natural light, and lovely ambiance. They serve creative entrees, have a large oyster selection, and fantastic cocktails.

This place is our very favorite brunch spot. Their crab benedict is incredible! Though they don't take reservations and it can be a bit of a wait. But you can grab a cup of their bottomless coffee and walk around the neighborhood while you're waiting.

Some of the most famous ice cream in San Francisco, as they always have unique flavors. Brian's favorite is the "Secret Breakfast" which incorporates vanilla, corn-flake cookies, and Jim Beam Bourbon.

This bakery is known for creative pastries and having overall incredible desserts, and they are by far the best in the city. Angela recommends the chocolate croissant.

Did you know that beer and cheese pair better than wine and cheese? Mission Cheese is a great afternoon spot for a craft beer and a plate of artisanal cheese. We recommend ordering the "cheese mongers choice" and being a bit adventurous.

Philz has the best coffee in SF (it's also what we usually brew at home). This is the original location (there's several now in the Bay Area), and absolutely iconic. Each cup is brewed to order, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. The most iconic drink is the Mint Mojito, so be sure to give it a try!

Parks & Nature

The beaches in San Francisco can be pretty cold, so this is generally where the locals go to picnic and enjoy stunning views of the San Francisco skyline. We highly recommend spending a sunny afternoon here!

Arts & Culture

The SF MOMA has just recently reopened after a big renovation that took several years. It's iconic, and we highly recommend spending a rainy day wandering around and admiring the mordern art.

Angela's favorite museum. If you're a fan of impressionism, this is a great spot (think Monet, Manet, Renoir). On some Sunday afternoons, they have live classical music, and it's absolutely sublime. Plus the views outside (Land's End) are incredible.

We love this place! We usually get our fresh baked bread (made in-house), gourmet cheese, and locally sourced meat from here. It's a bit on the pricier side, but the quality is outstanding.
